Modern Metal Meets a Vintage Feel

A fresh take on Schecter’s flagship single-cut guitar, the Solo-II Supreme infuses the Solo-II’s innate power with fresh pickups, premium hardware, and a flame maple top for enhanced tone with a flashy look. Aimed at players looking for a Solo-II with a slightly more vintage feel, the Solo-II Supreme features a well-rounded "C" profile neck that’s a nod to the beefier single-cut guitars of hard rock’s early days. Two Lundgren Black Heaven humbucking pickups, a refined take on the Lundgren’s popular M6s, drive the Solo-II Supreme’s divine tone and boast wider tonal response and versatility right out of the box. Here at Sweetwater, our guitarists love that that these boutique pickups cling firmly to note definition even in hurricanes of gain, a feat that’s made even more impressive by the rich single-coil cleans that these Black Heavens can achieve when set to coil-split mode.

Carbon-reinforced mahogany build

The Solo-II Supreme has all the premium hardwood construction you’d expect from a guitar that calls itself “Supreme." Onboard, you'll find a resonant mahogany body, a 3-piece mahogany set neck, an ebony fingerboard with incredibly smooth response, a compound 12–16-inch fingerboard radius that shreds at both ends, and a gorgeous flame maple top that’s exclusive to the Solo-II Supreme series. And that flame maple isn’t just for looks — it enhances the natural resonance and depth of mahogany with the slight bright warmth of maple, resulting in the kind of tone that’s been a staple of rock and metal for decades. Additionally, the guitar’s neck features a dual-action truss rod and carbon fiber reinforcement for easy adjustments and added resilience.

Boutique Lundgren pickups

Schecter handpicked the Solo-II Supreme’s two Lundgren Black Heaven pickups. Made in Sweden, Lundgren Black Heavens enhance the power, aggression, and gain response of Lundgren’s M6 pickups (featured on the standard Solo-II) by reducing compression and enhancing the frequency response for richer harmonic depth. With their dynamic response range, Black Heavens offer crisp attack and meaty growl with fierce definition, even in seas of gain. Improvements to depth and compression also mean that the Solo-II Supreme’s rich coil-split cleaners can hold their own against dedicated single-coil pickups and vintage guitars. With adjustable poles and pickup builds tailored to each position — a rich alnico in the neck and a high-output ceramic in the bridge — Black Heaven pickups represent some of the heaviest but most versatile electronics that money can buy.

Sturdy chrome hardware

Onboard premium chrome hardware not only adds brilliant color contrast, but also keeps your axe in tune when playing gets rigorous. The Solo-II Supreme features a premium matching Tune-o-matic bridge and tailpiece from TonePros for strong tuning stability; the revolutionary Graph Tech Ratio Tuners on the neck are fast, precise, and consistent — a turn of a Ratio Tuner always equals one tone change. Ratio Tuners also have the same response and feel when tuning your high and low strings, a useful feature for any style of music but especially handy for the low drop and open tunings that heavy music demands.

Schecter Solo-II Supreme Electric Guitar Features:

  • Modern heavy tone meets a vintage look and feel

  • Flame maple top for enhanced tonal depth and classic visual appeal

Why Buy Your Guitar from Sweetwater?

What is Demo Gear?

At Sweetwater, we're so picky that what we call a "demo" is actually better than what most music retailers sell as "new" gear! Our gear hasn't endured hundreds of people a week plunking away at all the keyboards, fumbling through Stairway to Heaven on every guitar or playing with every fader and knob on a mixer or control surface.

What demo means to us is that we've had it out of the box, or maybe it was in a customer's hands for a few days and isn't "factory fresh" as a result. Every demo item we sell has Sweetwater's 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty, and has been tested and verified up to "new" specs by our factory-authorized technicians to make sure it's in perfect working order before we ship it to you.

When you buy a Demo item at Sweetwater, you get:
  • 2-year Total Confidence Coverage Warranty™!
  • Products inspected and tested by our factory-authorized techs, guaranteed to function like new (or better)!
  • FREE shipping on most items
  • Equipment that will MEET or EXCEED your expectations!

Exceeded expectations

To be fair, I'm a novice. So I can't speak toward the expert level of playing an instrument. Only can relay my experiences with Sweetwater and Schecter.

What I can say is this is leagues above any mid range guitar I've picked up (many traditional 'brand names'). The components are rock solid! The pickups are absolutely insane with huge range of sound…clean to downright nasty. Fit and finish are mind bending. I expected an upgrade from my Epiphone SG (obviously). But this guitar actually exceeded them by a wide margin. I bought this guitar 'sight unseen'. Knew I wanted a LP look, so just revolves around that in my search.

From a few days of playing:

1. Huge range from pickups with amazing clarity
2. Craftsmanship is extraordinary. I've been making equipment for decades so I do have an eye for such things…I'd put this up against any of the 3-5K guitars I picked up in that arena and very confident the Schecter would pass with flying colors.
3. It is stunning. I might have to get the blue one though…:)
4. Came out the box in playable condition. Quick tune and away we went. Will have it tweaked soon but having too much fun at the moment :)
5. The neck is a bit smaller for my large hands, however, I am much more accurate (won't improve my skill level, but does make playing a lot of fun!). Noticeable difference! Smooth, easy. Perfect for my level of playing.

One 'negative' (not really the guitars fault) is the bridge is a bit further back than I am used to. I'm used to the SG so there is a bit of fatigue in my shoulder after playing a long while. I'm older (57) so it's just working different muscles a bit (different arm position). This is only sitting down, standing up is perfectly fine. Just the way the guitar rests on my leg while practicing. A few stretches and I'll be fine :)

I would be remiss not to mention the rep I spoke with at Sweetwater: Sean W. In these days of terrible customer service, I was floored with his patience, knowledge, general caring with my endless dumb questions, and overall level of service he provided. Really extraordinary.

I wanted to purchase local at first. Went to multiple local shops. Was treated like garbage (at one large retailer, I stood in front of guitars for an hour…two reps right there…completely ignored me and acted as if I was bothering them if I asked any questions). Sean, on the other hand, was the polar opposite. Amazing experience and very thankful for his time and consideration. I will skip the nonsense in the future and just go to Sean.

Incredible Schecter

The solo 2 Supreme is the absolute best guitar purchase of my playing career without a doubt. I have been playing since I was 10 I am now 51 unfortunately. I made the decision to buy this guitar strictly through numerous reviews and methodical thoughts meaning my needs and wants. I am amazed of the playability and performance of this machine. The feel sound wow me every time I pick it up. It's all around perfect for me and would recommend this guitar to anyone. I've played hundreds of guitars and none have been like this one. On top of everything it is beautiful. My thanks to Andy Rice at Sweet Water for his time and help with me making my decision. I might even get another in a different color.

A quality made instrument, looks beautiful, sounds and plays perfection...

Personally I believe Schecter and ESP make some of the finest guitars for the over all cost that one can buy. The ebony board and stainless frets are just heaven, compound radius neck, those killer Lundgren pickups, quality tuners, tonepros bridge, just excellent. I had this one Plek'ed and the neck is just so perfect it amazes me. String nut is a little tight but an easy setup tweak. Lowest action, playability, tones and looks one could ask for. Body is thinner than a traditional Les Paul so a little lighter, but not too light, the added satin gloss removed back of neck is just an attention to detail that makes for an outstanding guitar. My fav so far.

Great Guitar

I've been playing guitar for 38 years now ('84 Athens, GA). I own about 15 guitars at the moment (Gibson SG, Fender Strat included). This Schecter, my 3rd, is a fine instrument. It's gorgeous first off. Nice weight, smooth neck, pick ups sound great. I love it. I can't think of a fault. You should get one too.
