Hot-rodded construction

Inspired by souped-up and highly modified rock guitars, the Schecter Sun Valley SS FR solidbody electric guitar exudes a no-nonsense, high-performance attitude. It's black pickguard, hardware, and electronics sit on a comfortable S-style mahogany body. A bolt-on hard rock maple neck features a fast Thin-C neck contour and a 24-fret, 14" radius fretboard. And the Sun Valley SS FR's neck heel is beautifully contoured, allowing unrestricted access to the guitar's highest frets.

EMG Retro Active electronics

Schecter tapped EMG Pickups to supply the Sun Valley SS FR's horsepower. Their Retro Active electronics utilize a specially designed active preamp system and passive-style coils for a tone that boasts vintage clarity with modern power. The onboard preamp treats each coil of the pickups separately. This helps remove low-mid frequencies that can muddy up your signal. And a simple-to-use 2-knob control layout works in conjunction with the 3-way blade switch to access a wide variety of tones.

Schecter-exclusive Floyd Rose Trem

Schecter and Floyd rose have partnered to bring you the Floyd Rose Hot Rod double-locking tremolo for a new level of control and stability. Floyd Rose has long been one of the best double-locking tremolo sellers at Sweetwater. And the Hot Rod is a specialized take on their iconic design design that you will only find on select Schecter guitars. The addition of this trem is another appointment that prepares the Sun Valley SS FR solidbody electric guitar for your best playing.

Best in Class

Just an Intermediate guitar player here...! Once I figured out the Floyd Rose part of it, and got that dialed in, Added some of my own touches and set-up! This guitar play's and sounds like a dream!!! The Lambo Orange looks much better in person than on the website. Sweetwater delivered a fully functionable product right out of the box. I never thought I would buy a guitar without playing one first. But this one deliverd as said, and with no issue's at all! This thing play's like a dream, the Jumbo frets make it effortless to shred on the scales... I love this Guitar!!! Happy in Colorado!

“Super Shredder” describes your fingers from not wanting to stop playing.

Wow, this thing rips. The first day I got her, I just couldn't put it down. I plugged "Miranda" into my Katana MK2 100 and she absolutely sang to me. I play everything from classic rock, to blues, to random acts of soloing and it handled everything I threw at it. This is my first Floyd Rose guitar and I must admit, I was very nervous, thinking I was going to hate it and have to trade it back in. I was so wrong. The guitar was perfectly set up right out of the box and I was beyond impressed with the people of Sweetwater yet again. 10/10 customer service as always. My title is no joke either, The "Super Shredder" lives up to its title 1,000%, pics included.

Very different but great

It's a lot different than any guitar I've ever owned but it's amazing so far. I've only played it for 20 minutes. It came out of the box beautiful, and the set up was 95%to where I would have liked it. Sweetwater thank you for the quick delivery and service

Great guitar

I love these Supershredders from Schecter. It plays fantastic and sounds even better. It came setup well but I lowered the action a little. As always Sweetwaters sales and service are the best. They're the only place online I'll buy guitars and gear from.
