The Seymour Duncan Custom Shop Slug Pickup is an ultrahigh-output humbucker that delivers huge, meaty, and aggressive tone with fat lows, thick, boosted mids, and searing highs. Great for down-tuned progressive and death metal, the Custom Shop Slug sports a 2.87" bobbin length - a tad longer than a standard humbucker - so Duncan includes a custom mounting ring. Sweetwater tip: if you're mounting it directly in a pickguard, a slight modification may be necessary.

Good stuff
This pickup smokes. It is a beast. Hi power, face melting sound. It will blow your hair back man. I have tried this pickup in a few of my guitars, and for my ears and tastes, and type of music I play, it definitely likes my Baritone guitar best. However, it definitely did not disappoint in any of my rigs to which it was installed at the time. This pickup requires a modified pickup ring. Be sure to buy the fitted ring if it doesn't come with one in the box, otherwise you will have to modify a ring unless you are direct mounting. Awesome pickup.

This thing is BAD (in a good way)
I dropped this in a Jackson SL3X, And maaaan let me tell you this is no joke! What an upgrade I was going for a super strat 80's metal guitar that could also handle more modern grindcore tones and dude this thing did that and SO much more it's versatile as can be paired with 2 hot rails it's just in its element. The magnetic pull when paired with Ernie ball cobalt high out put strings this thing sounds HUGE and just screams and sounds mean. I was on the fence between this and a few others including EMG and super distortion and this baby right here?! Blew them all away after testing it's just worth every penny, I sound like a rockstar now. Snag one of these it's worth it seriously.

Highest output passive
This pickup is the hottest passive ive ever had. Can go from the heaviest of metal and able to dial back to play the cleanest of clean.
