A Capo with Rock-solid Intonation

Unlike inferior-designed capos, the Shubb C6b Dobro capo clamps firmly onto the neck of your guitar — not just to its strings. The result is great tone with loads of sustain. This capo’s patented over-center locking action ensures smooth operation and unrivaled ease of use. It aligns by touching the fret, not by eye, thereby making it fast and accurate. The Shubb C6b Dobro capo is made of plain, non-plated brass, giving it a vintage, rustic-like appearance. That said, if you polish it, it shines like gold. Small, stylish, and unobtrusive, the Shubb C6b Dobro is tailor-made for resophonic guitars.

Adjusting this capo is a piece of cake

The Shubb C6b Dobro capo is set up for 3/8-inch string action right out of the box, along with a slim neck. At Sweetwater, we’ve found that this works for most instruments. That said, if you have high string action (if it seems like the capo is working too hard to pull the strings down), simply unscrew the screw that attaches the Dobro piece. Then rotate and reverse the Dobro piece so that its height is 7/16 inches and reattach it. As for extra-thick necks, all you need to do is rotate the capo’s black rubber sleeve a quarter turn, and it’ll fit like a glove. These capos have remained popular for nearly 40 years. Try one, and you’ll understand why.

Shubb's C6b model fits most resophonic guitars.

Reviews

Essential for Dobro, and best value out there.

This capo works VERY well, has grooves in the brass block for sliding precisely onto the fret, very quick fret change and perfect fretting. It works every bit as well. Thanks Shubb!

Only one I've found that works
Excellent capo for my resophonic. You don't have to tweak the tuning after you put it on. String buzz is non existent, with little fussing to get it settled in.
Music background: Blues, soul, Americana, celtic, bluegrass and folk.
Dobro Capo
Great capo!!!
Great Capo!
The Shubb resonator capo might take two hands to put on, but the extra 1.5 seconds results in rock-solid, accurate tone. Nuff' said. This is the best squareneck resonator capo available. Period.
Works Great once you figure it out!
I have a square neck Gretsch Dobro and I was about to throw this capo in the trash until I read here on the Sweetwater site that it can be adjusted. I rotated both the brass nut that lies on the fret and the rubber mute that clamps down on the strings and suddenly it worked perfectly! This is explained in the instructions that fold out, but like me, you might miss that info if you jump right in to clamp it on. Sounds great and helps make hammer-ons and pull-offs work when you shift keys. Nice bit of engineering!
