Awesome looking and awesome sounding
Bought this to go along with the sv20 head. Does not disappoint. Very capable of handling the brights and the lows. Money well spent!!!!!

Amazing Tone
I bought this cab after buying the 20 w studio head. This cabinet just sings. It makes my Marshall low watt heads sound their best ever. This is not cheap but I am able to say you get what you pay for. The Sweetwater folks were great to buy from too. Great experience.

Sounds excellent, not too heavy to move
I bought the SV20H and figured I had to have the matching cab. I've always been an open back 12 guy so I did not expect a lot. OMG, it sounds great. I've A/B's it against my other cabs and it sounds significantly better, fuller, etc. The other things that's great is that it is just the right size and weight to still be practical to move. I gig a ton and I am not interested in heavy things. It works. Worth every penny.
Brand Envy!
I just recently picked up the new studio vintage Plexi head and just had to add this beautiful cabinet to the purchase. The two together just look incredible.

Let"s face it. Some brands and logos just make you feel good in this world. The Marshall face plate on top of the vintage tan grill cloth just looks freaking cool.

But how does it sound? In a word, fantastic! The vintage voiced speakers in this cab pair up wonderfully with yeh plexi head. But this cab would sound great with any head. Deep enough to give you plenty of bottom end but not flubby. Plenty of bite and high end without sounding brittle.

Is it worth $...? It was to me, I"m aware at least a few hundred of that purchase price was to acquire the name and brand. I"m ok with that. Highly recommend this cab to anyone.

Thanks to Richard Whittington for help with my purchase. He"s a great guy!

SV212 is almost a home run…
Everything about this cabinet is what we have all come to expect from UK made Marshall products. It's stout, well built, and is a thing of beauty. I only give it 4.5 stars because of the speakers it came with. There's plenty of debate all over the interwebs as to which speakers are better/best and it is all personal choice really. Now that that's said, being a "Studio Vintage" cab I would have expected a more vintage sounding speaker. The V-Type isn't horrible but it's far from vintage sounding. The Studio Vintage set up (head and cab) really benefit from lower wattage speakers. Now if there was a 25watt 12" V-Type…

There are countless "British"-style guitar amplifiers out there, but take it from the lifelong guitarists and tone connoisseurs at Sweetwater, when it comes to Marshall tone, there's nothing like the real thing. We've played them all, from vintage JTM45s and the ultra-cool Plexi reissue to modern handmade masterpieces such as the JVM410. There isn't a model among them we can't recommend with total confidence, and that includes their more affordable models too, like MG, DSL, and Code series amps. Thanks to our tight relationship with Marshall, Sweetwater's always on the cutting edge of their latest designs, custom models, and limited-edition gems. If you want iconic tone from across the pond, you want Marshall, and your Sweetwater Sales Engineer will help you find the perfect one.
