Power Up Your Rick!

When it comes to bass tone, bass players at Sweetwater know nothing quite sounds like a Rickenbacker. Full of punchy treble, focused lows, and singing sustain, Rickenbacker’s have cemented their place as a staple studio and stage bass. But what if you took that iconic Rickenbacker tone and supercharged it? Well, the Seymour Duncan SRB-1 humbucker set achieves just that. The SRB-1n in the neck position features ceramic magnets while the SRB-1b in the bridge features an Alnico V magnet. Together, this set is power-packed for cleaner tone at higher volumes with sustain that just won’t quit. And it’s a noise killer with superior hum-cancellation, so you can enjoy every bit of your sound without any annoying interference. With the Seymour Duncan SRB-1 set at your side, your Rickenbacker will never be the same — and that’s a good thing!

Seymour Duncan SRB-1 Rickenbacker Humbucker 2-piece Set Features:

  • Neck and bridge replacement humbuckers for Rickenbacker basses
  • Ceramic and Alnico V magnets pile on plenty of power and sustain
  • Impressive hum-canceling for noise-free performance
  • Slightly larger than stock pickup; includes a heat- and wear-resistant phenolic mounting ring

Seymour Duncan SRB-1 Rickenbacker Humbucker 2 piece pickup set
I just got the bass back from the repair guy yesterday who installed these for me. I used it at church this morning and I was flipped out over how good it sounded through my IEM's. Of course I'll want to hear it through an amp too, but at church, it sounded great with the new pickups. Even the church sound guy was impressed.

I had previously tried a different pickup that was only for the neck position. It was so loud and heavy, that I could barely turn it on or it would bury the stock bridge pickup. This new set up from Seymour Duncan is not like that. I ran both volumes and tones wide open, (standard Rick procedure) with no pickup balance problems.

I would definitely recommend these to any Rick players out there.
