Get Serious About Your Sound

The Mackie SR18S powered subwoofer offers premium sound for working musicians, DJs, and venues alike. Its 1600-watt Class D amplifier packs reliable, consistent performance in a lightweight package, and its custom high-efficiency transducer ensures top-notch sound. A dedicated processing module guards against system overloads with the utmost in transparency. This state-of-the-art powered sub includes application-specific Custom Voicing presets for simplified setup; the SR18S also includes a variable crossover, easy system optimization features, versatile output options, and an integrated pole cup for your main speaker.

A flexible but easy-to-use subwoofer

If you play different rooms of different sizes, you'll love the flexibility of the SR18S. And no matter what your system looks like on any given night, the SR18S is easy to set up. The perfect complement to your SRT Series, SRM | V-Class Series, or any other PA loudspeakers, SR18S not only reinforces your low end, but also allows for a massive increase in system efficiency and output. Custom Voicing presets and a variable crossover makes it easy to fit the SR18S into the mix. You also get a polarity invert switch, stereo and mono summing for single- or dual-subwoofer deployment, and a variable level control that ranges from -6dBU to +6dBU. What's more, because it has dual full-range outputs in addition to dual highpassed outputs, you can integrate the SR18S into virtually any PA system.

Transparent system protection guards against excessive levels

As the seasoned live sound experts here at Sweetwater will tell you, unpredictable level spikes are a fact of life. The Mackie SR18S takes this into account, providing you with a dedicated processing module that monitors your amplifier in real time to guard against excessive levels. It's extremely transparent — even under heavy limiting. What's more, input limiting tames extra-hot sources before they cause issues. You also get Power Factor Correction for rock-solid operation in venues with unstable power.

Awesome earth shaking power
So you guys are probably gonna think I'm nuts. But, I got these for a sound system for my entertainment room. I've been a recording engineer for years and I hate all the sound bars & woofers they offer. So I did a bit of research, liked the Mackie power consumption of 110 watts for 1600 watts of sound power. Can't go wrong with these. Sounds better than a movie theater!

Jamaican DJ,for over 40yrs play’s heavy Jamaican riddim songs
First I must say when I saw this power sub advertising on sweetwater website and it were said to be new and there were not in stock I were curious so I call Darius And enquire about it and he told me that it is a newer model from the SRM 1850 model and it was built like a tank, so I took his word for it and bought the first one which took over there weeks to be on the market at sweet water and it took a long time to get to me so I very impatient because I had a party to play for and bought one of the SRM 1850 model which got to me before the SR18s model, anyway when I hook up both subs for a back yard party I was very impressed with both subs, the SRM 1850 was not as good as this Newer model. Thanks to Darius, I will be getting another one of this newer model to pair up with this one

Mackie nailed it with this sub. It is a great addition to my DJ setup! I now have a full sound! Thanks Mackie! :)
Very Happy
I went back and forth between these and the DRM18's. The reason I went for these were because of size, mobility and $ cheaper for each. The DRM are heavier and bulkier and I am a mobile DJ that needs space for taking these places while still providing quality sound. I got both out of these SR18S Mackie subs. They don't redline and have limiter in them. I have used them already outside and in a large room and they do not disappoint. I haven't even really pushed them hard because I haven't needed to. The sound of these is more clear and less of a bass thumping sound. I am waiting to pair these with the SRM212 V-Class once I receive those. I have used my 13 year old Mackie Thump 15A's with them right now with the high pass and they have been good to me. Would recommend these over spending $ more for some of the other brands with the same quality sound.
