Our church sanctuary is white, and we want to keep it as natural-looking as possible. These were the only white speaker mounts I could find, and I've had great success with other Gator Frameworks products.

When I first opened the package, I noticed that one of the mounts seemed off. The weld on the back had a small gap, causing the speaker arm to be slightly misaligned—around 87 degrees instead of a perfect 90. I considered returning them but decided to make it work. I'd been wanting to hang our sanctuary speakers for months and was ready to stop thinking about it, haha.

Mounting tip: I added a cork backing to the mounts to provide padding and prevent wall scratches. This also improved contact with the wall, distributed the weight more evenly, and offered slight vibration dampening. For each mount, I secured one side into a stud and the other into drywall (technically plaster in our building) using toggle bolts.

These are very sturdy. At one point while mounting the speakers, I lost my balance and grabbed onto the mount. I weigh 200 lbs, and it held me—along with a 40 lb speaker.

Overall, these are great mounts, but I'm a bit disappointed in the quality control. To fix the misaligned angle, I added extra cork backing at the top of the mount, which helped even things out. I hope this review helps someone!
