Went into "Mute" zone in Covid land as admittedly, a newbie to that mode. Bought the Evans version of the Kick mute and disappointed with that (Got toasted in less than 2 weeks) This is FAR more solid and shed worthy.

the super pad is very gratifying to play. you can 'bury the beater' and get a nice punchy thud - this is an important point as most low volume playing options require a light foot. admittedly i have a mic on mine and run it through a 10" sub just to round out and deepen the tone... the sound is awesome and perfect for low volume rehearsal or small live gig. I use a normal felt beater as well for a small amount of attack...but don't worry, the acoustic noise from hitting the pad is more a low thud, so it works.

i have tried most low volume options, the super pads for the snare and kick are my top picks. i am still tweaking with my tom options.
