Single-row 18" Modular Pedalboard System

Temple Audio Templeboards offer a radical new way to customize the layout of your pedalboard — from stomp and power supply placements to I/O, speaker connections, and beyond. Each modular Templeboard is limited only by its size. And with plenty of optional modules to choose from, you can build the perfect board for your exact needs. The Templeboard's locking screw-in pedal plates offer an entirely secure pedal stage that won't shift or slip in transit. And with a lightweight aluminum frame and rugged side rails and handle pulls, Templeboards offer the security you need without weighing you down.

Modular design

Templeboard's modular ecosystem gives you the freedom to customize your connections and layouts according to your needs and taste. Switching power connectors, instrument and speaker connections, even customizable lighting — it's all possible with Templeboard.

More secure than other boards

With its locking pedal plate mounting system (plates sold separately), Templeboard pedalboards offer a high degree of security and modularity for the gigging guitar or bass player. Position the adhesive squares on your board to taste, adhere to your pedals, then lock in with the thumb screw. Unlike even the strongest hook-and-loop tapes, which permit some degree of movement, Templeboards lock in pedals securely, even in transit.

Lightweight and ruggedly built

Rugged handle pulls, rugged side rails, and a durable, lightweight aluminum frame equip Templeboard pedalboards for anything your tour can throw at you.

Pedals above, power below

The Templeboard's pegboard-style layout gives you the freedom to mount stomps and accessories from both sides. Guitarists at Sweetwater found this system to work best for mounting FX up top and power supplies underneath. But of course, each Templeboard is your custom creation, so you can design to taste.

Note: Templeboards offer an underside clearance of 1.25" in the front and 2.25" in the back. Power supplies 2" and thinner are recommended for underside mounting.

Reviews

you want the best.....get the best
Amazing boards. Best on the market.
Solid
This is my first board so I don't have a ton of input but it feels like great quality and has plenty of holes to allow for various placement of pedals. I like that you can later expand by adding various adapters to the sides (I will someday) The only downfall with this is with old boss pedals, when you get to the edges the rails get in the way of plugging any kind of cables into the pedals. You either have to position the pedals sideways or high up and nice and low.
Nice pedal Board
Good for what I wanted. Not sold on overall strength-we will see. Kind of light wieght with all the holes. But Im using it for a tonex and plethora-should be ok.
Music background: Basement and church. Im good when alone.
Good concept, lots of inconveniences
I've been running both the solo 18 and duo 24 boards in various iterations for about 2 years now. Both in rehearsal, studio work, and gigging, the Temple stuff has some great ideas with some real oversights for usability. I'm not going to list the positives because those are obvious. Here are some downsides:

1. There are no holes/access ports on the front face of the board. This is a huge pain with cable routing and an already finicky pedal placement system. Especially on the solo where every inch counts. Perhaps they would effect stability, but it's not like anyone needs to stand on the thing.

2. The cable ports/holes aren't big enough to route a standard midi cable head through. They also don't make a module with midi routing. Many people won't care, but midi is no longer a niche use-case. There are more products on the market that utilize it, some would argue, aren't fully useful without it. So the fact that Temple can't just mill out and extra 1/16th" seems like a silly oversight.

3. The attachment system has its drawbacks. The adhesive will come off if the board is stored vertically for more than a few hours. That may seem simple enough but when you're packing a van and the thing is rattling around on the road for days/weeks, it starts becoming a nuisance to either have to be precious about storage or worrying your pedals have detached.

3 a. Along with this, the system does not make on-the-fly maintenance easy. If you find you need to replace a cable or swap a pedal out, it's a whole to-do, having to work around the power supply and cables just to take one thing off. Again, at home, this is mostly a negligible pain. But on stage under pressure it's unsustainable and forces you to switch to back to Velcro or 3M. That's not the end of the world but it does negate one major selling point.

4. The modules are helpful and the biggest reason I switched. However, be aware, they're a pain to install/swap etc. The AC mod in particular is a pain, which I suspect everyone uses. I recommended being diligent and really thinking through how you'd use any of them before purchasing.

I don't hate these boards, Temple makes a good product, but there are some practicalities missing here that seem very simple to address.
