A High-flying, Hot-wired Jet for Any Player

Gretsch’s hot-blooded Streamliner Jet affords players a powerful presence, refined feel, and classic Gretsch styling to seriously amp up your jam sessions and shows. The maple-topped body of chambered mahogany is a time-tested Gretsch formula that’s now even more comfortable to play thanks to new body-flush contouring. A set of HotWire humbuckers with streamlined Master controls effortlessly delivers high-output tuneage across a range of rocking genres. Die-cast tuners and a compensated wraparound bridge work with Gretsch’s Pitch-Perfect headstock angle to provide impressive playability, complemented by the swift shape of its Fast-C neck profile. And of course, no true Gretsch would be complete without its fair share of flair, accented with body and fingerboard binding, Neo Classical Thumbnail inlaying, a Split-V headstock, and more. Turn up the heat with the handsome and high-output Gretsch Streamliner Jet!

Streamlined for greater comfort

Toss the Streamliner Jet over your shoulder, and its comfortable appointments literally come out of the woodwork. That legendary, single-cut Gretsch Jet shape retains its chambered mahogany body and maple top for a fabulous featherweight feel typically found on Gretsch’s deluxe models, only this time with comfier backside contouring for a flusher playing feel. Its mahogany neck also punches above its weight, offering a rounded heel, Gretsch’s Fast C profile, and a laurel fingerboard for the perfect combination of speedy movement and smooth note navigation. Also, the Streamliner Jet features a proprietary Pitch-Perfect headstock angle, blueprinted to give this music maker the structural intonation dependability of a stage-ready 6-string.

Searing riffage from HotWire high-ouptuts

Gretsch’s howling HotWire pickups are readied to raise a raucous. These ceramic humbuckers are designed for truly characterful high-output heat, packed with plenty of full, gritty growl that will perfectly suit genres like rock, hard rock, grunge, and metal. If nuance is what you're after, these pickups can easily be toned down to accommodate a wealth of musical directions. The Streamliner Jet provides you with an optimized control set as well, offering a 3-way pickup selector, Master Volume knob, and a Master Tone knob to help dial in the right degree of dirt for your sound without overcomplication. To boot, Gretsch’s HotWires come uncovered and treated to zebra-style black and white coil bobbins for a stellar look to match.

Rock-steady Gretsch charm

Guitarists across the globe — including quite a few here at Sweetwater — know that when it comes to functional flair, Gretsch is a regular top contender. The Streamliner Jet lives up to this legacy with impressive hardware appointments to bring dependable playability to all performers. It starts with a set of sealed, die-cast tuning machines at the headstock matched with the steady and flexible presence of an adjustable wraparound bridge down at the body to offer noteworthy tuning stability that works in flawless, chrome-finished conjunction with the Pitch-Perfect headstock angle.

For style points, the Streamliner Jet boasts binding across the top and throughout the fingerboard, the latter of which comes lined with Gretsch’s iconic Neo Classic Thumbnail inlaying pattern. Rounded out with a unique Split-V headstock shape, vintage-inspired knurled radio knobs, and your choice of one of Gretsch’s charming high-gloss colors, the Streamliner Jet proves itself a double threat for sonic success in total style!

Gretsch Streamliner Jet Features:

  • Now all players can unleash high-output tuneage in vintage Gretsch style and comfort
  • Maple top over a chambered mahogany body offers a classic, lightweight design, upgraded with body contouring
  • Mahogany neck with Fast C profile, rounded heel, and laurel fingerboard feels fantastic under-finger
  • Pitch-Perfect headstock angle prioritizes proper tuning stability
  • HotWire high-output humbuckers grant players of rock, hard rock, grunge, metal, and beyond a palette of full-bodied bite to work with
  • Master Volume, Master Tone, and 3-way selector provide a more straightforward set of sound sculpting tools
  • Die-cast tuning machines and adjustable wraparound bridge anchor your intonation with stage-grade dependability
  • Body/fingerboard binding, knurled radio knobs, Neo Classical Thumbnail inlays, and Split-V headstock deliver timeless Gretsch charm

What is Certified Open Box Gear?

At Sweetwater, we're so picky that what we call "Certified Open Box" is actually better than what most music retailers sell as "new" gear! Our gear hasn't endured hundreds of people a week plunking away at all the keyboards, fumbling through Stairway to Heaven on every guitar or playing with every fader and knob on a mixer or control surface.

Certified Open Box (also known as a demo) means we’ve had it out of the box for our YouTube channel, displayed at events, tested in our studio, or maybe it was in a customer’s hands for a few days and isn’t ‘factory fresh’ as a result. Every Certified Open Box item we sell has Sweetwater’s 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty and has been tested and verified up to ‘new’ specs by our factory-authorized technicians to make sure it’s in perfect working order before we ship it to you.

Note: While Certified Open Box items from Gretsch do not include the Fender Musical Instruments Corporation warranty, you can shop with confidence knowing that this item is backed and covered by Sweetwater’s 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty.

When you buy a Certified Open Box item at Sweetwater, you get:
  • 2-year Total Confidence Coverage Warranty™!
  • Products inspected and tested by our factory-authorized techs, guaranteed to function like new (or better)!
  • FREE shipping on most items

Amazing
Looks, feels, and sounds fantastic paired with the Catalyst Amp. Could not be happier!!
Streamliner
I should have returned this product. There are nicks in the headstock where it was painted over. I would think that at least some filler would be used. A small paint chip is visible on an edge. The selector switch feels loose and doesn't seem to hold properly. I thought to myself that I may be expecting too much at this price point.
