Add Weight to Your Riffs

Aggression. Power. Clarity. This is the trifecta of heavy guitar tone. Drop the Seymour Duncan SH-6 Mayhem Set into your axe, and harness it. These high-output humbuckers are ideal for every flavor of metal and other high-aggression genres as well. We're talking tight percussive riffs. Blazing-fast lead work. Ultra-clear pick dynamics. Churn out hard-hitting, crunchy rhythms, or pump out searing leads — it's all at your fingertips. Massive ceramic magnets and hot coil windings yield rich upper midrange harmonics and smooth fluidity when you push them and are equally capable of bell-like clean tones when you back off the gain. The SH-6 Mayhem Set will add serious weight to whatever you play.

These high-output humbuckers were built for aggression

The SH-6 Mayhem Set was built for aggressive playing styles. These humbuckers are recommended for old-school metal, nü-metal, gothic, garage, punk, thrash, and other heavy rock styles, and are great for drop tunings. These humbuckers yield high output while retaining clarity. Their massive ceramic magnet and hot coil windings deliver tremendous power and raw distorted rock sounds. Both pickups come with four-conductor hookup cables to facilitate complex pickup switching setups.

Reviews

Awesome
When I worked at the Kramer music product factory,
We put Seymour Duncan pick ups in all the guitars, I find that the Duncan Mayham pick ups or absolutely fabulous!

Hot pickups.
He's biggest really add another dimension to my guitar. I dropped them into my Les Paul Standard and they are everything that I'm looking for. Nice thick tone just oozing with sustain. Turn down the volume a bit and you get that bell sound but that thick quality is still there. Just what I was looking for but could not get from any pedal. As usual Sweetwater's quick and Professional Service was definitely the icing on the cake. Thank you Brad Jahn and everyone at Sweetwater.
Music background: 40 years plus Rhythm & Blues, Funk and Rock.
Great pickup set
I had this set installed in an ESP Eclipse and I got exactly what I was looking for. I wanted an aggressive, expressive yet versatile set of pickups and these are awesome. Bridge pickup sounds fantastic running through a high gain amp. Plenty of chug and very expressive not too trebly or tinny when playing leads. Neck pickup is awesome for expressive leads, bends, legato. My guitar has split coil switch so these pickups provide a great clean tone when coils are split. All in all, highly recommend for all my fellow metal players.
Very Happy
Purchased a GLP vintage honey burst faded 50's Standard. Beautiful guitar! Did not play well even with the included plek job. After I took it to be properly set up to my liking now it plays great. Did not personally like the sound of the Burstbucker #1 and #2 pickups. Swapped them out for these Duncan Mayhem distortions. Guitar now sounds really good. Took it to a jam and the other musicians really liked the sound. At first it was going to be number 4 on my inventory of 4 guitars. Now it has moved up to number one. Love these high output pickups on my guitars. I do not play thrash metal or other super high gain applications. More like 70's rock and blues based rock. They work really well for this application. And you still get great cleans.
Music background: Long time musician (70 years old, started tone chasing journey at 8 years old)
Amazing pups.
Installed those pups to a cheap Schecter i bought as a project guitar. The difference in tone, clarity and overall sound, was like comparing day and night, which it was somewhat expected. You cant go wrong with Seymour Duncans.
