Classic SG design
The SG Standard's mahogany body features a thinner, more contoured shape than its predecessor, the Les Paul. Moreover, it has a double cutaway for easier upper-fret access and a long-tenon 19th-fret neck joint. The SG Standard retains a bound Indian rosewood fingerboard, acrylic trapezoid fingerboard inlays, and a mother-of-pearl headstock inlay. An aluminum Nashville Tune-o-matic bridge, aluminum stopbar tailpiece, and Grover Rotomatic tuners with kidney buttons round out this axe's hardware.
