Mic Your Bass Drum. Ditch the Mic Stand.

Deceptively simple, the Bass Drum Hoop Mic Mount from Gibraltar removes the need for a bass mic stand, simplifying and decluttering the stage and studio. The ultra-sturdy, reliable deluxe hoop clamp provides a secure hold, which can be tightened and untightened with your fingers, and it is rubber-lined to protect your bass drum hoop from damage. The 8-inch gooseneck is easy to position and maintains its shape for accurate mic placement, and it has enough heft to hold up larger-sized bass drum mics. Kick the stand to the curb, with the Bass Drum Hoop Mic Mount from Gibraltar — available at Sweetwater!

Reviews

Ditch the gooseneck and its great.
I got this along with some other goodies to help reduce over-all footprint and mic stand requirement. I took this, and removed the gooseneck and replaced it with a K&M quick release. This will give you about a 1.5" height, and when installed directly onto the hoop of a kick drum, will place MOST kickdrum mics almost perfectly into the port hole of the reso head. This will also allow you to keep the mount in place on the drum and remove the mic with the quick release for transport/storage. No noticeable feedback or issues with the mic being mounted to the kick using a D6 or sE V Kick. I will say, i wish the mount was engineered a little differently so that the curvature of the mount was the same as the hoop, the way its desined now is basically the opposite which could potentially put a crease or two into a wood drum hoop if you really cranked down on the adjustment.

Very nice
Great kick mount mic arms. You have to move em around a bit to get them in just the right spot but once they're dialed in, you're good to go.

Funny
Works great once you remove the gooseneck ,mount mic directly to clip and adjust the head hole

Funny
Works great if you simply remove the gooseneck (which is everybody's complaint) and mount mic directly to the clamp.

Beware-California Cancer and Reproductive Health Warning Label on product packaging.
Unlike other goose neck mounts, it is not adjustable in Height.
This struck me as strange.
The clamp is strong and so is the goose neck.
I like it enough to use it.
I didn't appreciate the California Poposition65 Cancer and Reproductive Harm WARNING label
on the plastic packaging, this seems inappropriate.
Note: I will not be using it as a straw.
There is no penalty for providing an unnecessary warning.
Because of this, the label ends up on numerous appliances and goods galore.
