Using On-Stage SB1500 Speaker Bag for Peavy PVX15 Passive Speakers
I had emailed Devin at Sweetwater to see if the 15" speaker bags from Gator would fit the PVX15 speakers as I have other sizes of their bags for 10" and 12" speakers. The speakers' spec dimensions seemed too large to fit in the Gator bag but - as with their mixer bags - I thought there might be a little extra room in the design. Devin informed me that the On-Stage SB1500 bag - which I hadn't noticed during my search - was the only bag that would fit them. At first I thought even these were too snug when I attempted to lay the speakers grill-down in them and this would put strain on the zippers. However, rotating the speaker cabinet onto its side with the "wedge cut" (for floor-monitor use) facing upward, they were a perfect fit with no zipper strain at all. The bags are well-made, too! Thanks, Devin (Cunningham) for putting me on the right track and saving me from making the wrong purchase!
