Silk-inlaid Bronze Acoustic Strings with Steel Tops

Spectrum Bronze acoustic guitar strings from Thomastik-Infeld are specially formulated to sound great unplugged and cut through a busy mix. A unique bronze alloy gives these strings a familiar warmth with added bite and clarity to stand out in an ensemble setting. Silk inlay technology softens string feel under the fingers for greater comfort and reduced squeak, while at the same time focusing each note's fundamental and balancing harmonics. Not only do Spectrum Bronze strings sound great, but they stand up to daily performance and practice as well, giving you great tone from the moment you string up to the last time you wind down. Brass-plated steel top strings (B and E) add definition to chord voicings and lead work. Reviews

Go bronze or go home
I begrudgingly put these on a Taylor 516 in March, expecting the splurge to disappoint my ears. I typically play D'addario EJ19 or their Nickel Bronze in a similar medium light gauge. I play daily - with a two hour rehearsal mid week and 10-15 song set on most weekends. I was blown away by the difference in tonality. The clarity, playability and warm robust sound lasted well beyond the brief honeymoon period of a few weeks or so with a typical string change. The wrapped ends are a nice touch too.

It is now July. The strings are sufficiently dead. I am sad.

I will definitely keep a set in the rotation, but at three times the cost, sparingly.
Pricey but worth it for the tone.
I've never had any TI string fail and they always sound and feel fantastik.

I prefer their lighter tension, ringing sustain and increased harmonic content.
The best
Deep, full, natural sound for my solid woods guitar. It's my fav now)
1st time
Got these string on the recognition of Patrick @ sweetwater just put them on my HD 35 played it for about 45min so far so good going to try it at chruch to night and see how it sounds with my fender acoustic amp sounds good here at the house overall really happy with them
Music background: Semi pro
Great sound and feel, unstable
Recently purchased a new D-18 and had these installed at setup by SW Tech services. Only a week in with about 2-3 hrs of play and the D string failed at the tuner. Replaced the D with same from a new pack, and now at two weeks the G string failed at the ball end. Now I've replaced the G from the spare pack. That's pretty darn expensive at $$ for two packs. I have Never seen such a thing in 30 years. I'd have to recommend unless you have fifty bucks every two weeks for 2-3 hrs a week of play, then stay away from these. Other than that, they sound incredible.
Music background: Fun, worship and fellowship with my buddies.
