Outstanding Digital Bass Amp from Fender

The Fender Rumble Stage 800 is an ideal digital bass amp for the stage and the studio. The Rumble Stage features 800 watts that drive two powerful 10" drivers along with a compression tweeter that can be easily switched on and off, allowing adjustment for an ideal treble response. Bassists here at Sweetwater are especially fond of the Rumble Stage 800's veritable vault of classic amp and cabinet tones from the onboard modeling made famous by Fender's Mustang GT amplifiers. Dial in anything from '50s Bassman tones to mammoth stadium sounds of the '70s/'80s to extended modern-day low end — the options are nearly endless. This versatile amp also features stellar compression and EQ effects, reverbs, delays, octave effects, and a cool 60-second looper, which is great for practice and songwriting.

Fender Rumble Stage 800 Features:

  • Powerful 800 watts driving 2 x 10" woofers deliver stellar bass tone
  • High-frequency compression tweeter with switchable on/off lets you dial in great treble
  • Multiple amp and cabinet models mean endless tonal and stylistic exploration
  • XLR line output for live/studio use gives you flexible connectivity options

Reviews

Great Tone that you can shape just about any way you want
To be honest I'm not 100% sure how accurate the models are that this amp emulates, but I don't care. I love the tones I am able to get out of the Stage 800. I have only owned 2 pedals a Boss CS-3 (compression/sustainer) and a Boss GEB-7 Equalizer, this amp models them both and many more.I'm still learning what I can do with it. It is very loud without any type of extension cab and is 400W without one. If you want the full 800W you will need an extension cab. I have a Carvin MBE115 extension cab (4 ohms at 400W) and it works fine with that, but I have not played anywhere where I would need it, the stage 800 is plenty loud enough on it's own. One of my main gripes is Fender reducing their amp warranties from 5 to 2 years in 2017. This amp is a computer basically and if the electronics go, I've got a expensive boat anchor, that won't be cheap to repair if it's out of warranty. I want to give a big shout out to Damon Spragia my sales engineer, that man rocks and helped get me a deal on this amp plus I got it in shipped one day. That was a nice surprise!

Very Loud
I finally stepped up from my Fender Rumble 100 and this thing is awesome! I set my Bass and all the knobs on the amp to 12 o'clock with the gain all the way down and the entire house shakes. The amp has a built in tuner which is nice and 100 preset effects. After an hour of messing around with it the neighbors 3 doors down and across the street called to tell me to knock it off. I am very happy.
I love this amp!!!
Oh my gosh I love this amp. I bought it 3 years ago from "not sweetwater". I haven't toured with it, It's only seen studio use, but it's never given me a lick of trouble. I've experienced zero problems such as some people seem to be reporting. I love the Fender Tone app, it works great. So awesome to be able to play with all the settings while NOT bending over the amp constantly. I play through this amp many times weekly. The amp itself has never "locked up" but I'm pretty used to having to kill the Fender Tone app and relaunch it at the start of every session to reestablish the bluetooth connection after powering up the amp. After doing that, it's rock solid throughout the session.

The sounds are AMAZING. You really need to get the MGT-4 foot pedal. Makes switching amp presets and effects very simple. you can do oodles of stuff with the foot pedal, but I mainly use it to switch between 3 main amp models, and 3 main effects.

It's kind of almost too powerful, but you can get an effects-loop attenuator to tone it down if you need.

Between the Studio 40 and the Stage 800, I went with the more powerful, and I don't regret it. This thing could drop a rhino in its tracks. And you can add an extension cabinet if you need to REALLY push some air and fully utilize that 800 watts! And at "only" 39 lbs, it's still pretty portable compared to a lot of bass rigs. Wish it had nice built-in holes on the bottom to plug in some casters though.

(HEY FENDER: How about making a "Touring 300" with a single 12" with native 150 watts and ability to add a cab to get to 300? Make it under 30 lbs? It'd be a huge hit!!!)

The amp emulation that emulates an Ampeg SVT rig (the "Rocking Peg") is just amazingly delicious. So sweet, such great tonal qualities, such gorgeous lush fuzz when you overdrive the gain stage by cranking your bass volume up fully! Just like the real thing.

Hope this helps!
Received in time for xmas gig
I've never owned anything fender...I've been using the ampeg ba210v2 for years but decided to get something lighter and powerful to carry. Well, I took a chance on this amp and I'm very satisfied. Powerful boy even at low volume. So many tone options. You'll spend days or weeks going through all the sounds. I'm 3wks in and still going through them. Haven't even gotten to the pedal switch yet..Sweetwater is the ish.....

I was upgrading from the Fender rumble 40. I needed something that would be able to heard over a drummer. There are plenty of amps that can achieve this at a lower price point however I choose this amp because of the efx loop & pedal. The virtual pedals are great introduction to efx

I've been gigging out for a long time, so when I was looking for a new amp, I needed something that would be great onstage that I could also use for practicing. Right from the start, I was amazed by the power and versatility of the Fender Rumble Stage. This 800-watt amp really projects, and it comes with a ton of amp model and effects, so there isn't a tone I can't get from it. I really like the Bluetooth feature too, which lets me play along to tracks on my phone, without having to deal with extra cables.
