The Most Versatile Rockerverb Yet!

In the early 2000s, a new era of high-gain Orange Amplification tone was ushered in with the Rockerverb series of electric guitar amplifiers. The all-tube Rockerverb 50 MKIII is the culmination of over a decade of fine-tuned adjustments to that game-changing amplifier. The MKIII offers a newly-voiced clean channel for a more versatile chimey tone, and a dirty channel that will take you anywhere from classic British crunch to the very heaviest in modern metal. Add in power-scaling and footswitchable attenuation and there's nowhere the Rockerverb 50 MKIII can't take you.

Orange Rockerverb 50 MKIII Amplifier Head at a Glance:
  • Revoiced dual-channel design for maximum versatility
  • Dynamic control with power-scaling and footswitchable attenuation
  • 100% tube-driven including spring reverb and the effects loop
Revoiced dual-channel design for maximum versatility

While the Rockerverb guitar amplifiers have been a staple in many guitarist's rigs for years, the MKIIIK design ups the ante with revoiced channels to get even more versatility, clarity, and headroom. The clean channel now features a dual-band EQ and higher headroom while also maintaining the vintage character of it's non-master volume design. The dirty channel is engineered to bring the filth, starting you in crunchy rock 'n' roll territory and throttling you deep into modern high-gain grind.

Dynamic control with power-scaling and footswitchable attenuation

In a world of high-tech PA systems, digital modeling, and low-wattage lunchbox style amps, sometimes us guitarists can't get away with a screaming 50-watt tube behemoth behind us. Not on the stage, and definitely not in the studio. Now you don't have to give up the feel and tone only offered by those muscular amplifiers with the Rockerverb 50 MKIII. With onboard power scaling at 50 and 25 watts, you can get those power tubes cooking at volumes that tailor to your situation. And the footswitchable and variable attenuator on the front of the amp can get you those cranked tones at bedroom-level volumes!

100% tube-driven including spring reverb and the effects loop

Nothing sounds like a tube amp... nothing. Orange knows that, which is why the Rockerverb 50 MKIII is a 100% tube design. The tubes aren't only in the preamp and power sections, either. The onboard lush-sounding spring reverb and buffered effects loop have both been dialed in to give you a more clear, organic, and usable tone - all with the power of 12AT7 tubes. While there are a lot of great-sounding options out there to take you out of the tube world, just remember, nothing sounds like a tube amp... nothing.

Orange Rockerverb 50 MKIII Amplifier Head Features:
  • 2-channel, 50-watt high-gain electric guitar amplifier
  • Revoiced channels go from chimey to grinding
  • Selectable 25- or 50-watt performance
  • Footswitchable attenuation for dynamic control
  • Tube spring reverb offers airy to full-on surf
  • Buffered tube-driven effects loop
  • 12AX7 preamp tubes and EL34 power tubes
Go from chimey to grinding and from a whisper to a scream with the Rockerverb 50 MKIII!

Reviews

The amp I built my rig around
The Orange Rockerverb 50 MKIII is the amp I measure everything else against.

I've owned and played a wide range of guitars — Les Pauls, semi-hollows, SGs, modern high-output instruments — and this amp somehow makes all of them feel more alive. It doesn't mask your guitar's voice; it magnifies it.

The clean channel is warm, thick, and dimensional without being muddy. There's a natural bloom to the notes that feels almost three-dimensional, especially with semi-hollow guitars. It takes pedals beautifully, but it doesn't need them.

The dirty channel is where this amp earns its reputation. It's saturated, harmonically rich, and incredibly responsive to picking dynamics. You can go from articulate edge-of-breakup blues to full, singing sustain without losing clarity. The gain never feels fizzy or artificial — it's muscular but refined.

The built-in reverb is lush and usable across a wide range of settings. The attenuator is also a huge bonus — being able to push the amp harder without overwhelming volume makes it far more practical than most 50-watt tube heads.

What surprised me most is how expressive it is. Roll back your guitar volume, and it cleans up beautifully. Dig in harder, and it roars. It feels like the amp reacts to you instead of the other way around.

This isn't a sterile, ultra-modern amp. It has character. It has weight. It has authority.

For me, it's not just another piece of gear — it's the foundation of my sound.
Only the best sounding amp on the market in my honest opinion!
Love everything about this amp there is not nothing to dislike whatsoever no matter what style of music you play this ample cover at all I have three orange amps and I love all three of them but the rocker verb is my favorite!
Music background: Too much to list !
ORANGE - Rockerverb 50 MK III - organic tube animal
Everything about my Orange Rockerverb 50 valve amp is incredible, simple and user friendly. You get to "go softly or rip off facial parts" just how I like to. For me, "This one goes straight from super clean to nasty leaving "eleven" in the dust." Then it can catch you softly before you fall and hurt your bad dumbfounded self and sing you to sleep too if you like. BTW I have only played it thru an EV 1-12 so far...
I won't be back after plugging into those four Celestion's ;-})

The only thing lacking {4.5 stars} is a balanced line out and better alignment of the graphics where the knobs are. For 1999, come on guys, a little more QC please. Guess I'll try the effects-loop return send to a DI.

PS three way foot switch is from an original Roland JC-50. Works great for attenuator - reverb - channel select.

One of the best amps EVER!
Have this amp on a PPC 412 and it is everything I love about an amp. Has great mid-range tones and can crank next to Marshalls I have as they are british amp tones but with subtle differences that make orange amps have a special sound almost like I want both marshall and Orange for different sounds when recording, it is plenty loud but is more hairy and darker sounding with a nice dirt channel. It can rip leads and has a great clean channel. it has the best reverb I have ever had on an amp. It can do more high gain metal with a booster or screamer also. It looks cool and is my favorite amp. Thing is heavy. I almost went with a !00 watt but this is loud even for a large room. I am so proud to own one. They are made with real quality.
Music background: rock, metal
A great amp!
The Rockerverb 50W MKIII is a ripper amp. This gear is top of the line. Cleans are beautiful, breaks up nicely, and completely saturates! This amp has loads of character. Shout out to Derrick Senestraro, he is always helpful.
I could not be more thrilled!
