Reviews

Make American Companies Great Again!
So I had two Audient iD14's and they pooped out. I tried to get them fixed but required me to send them to Europe. Which, cost as much as the unit. That's when I decided to go with an American company.

After watching reviews on YouTube I was convinced that if I had a problem I could send it to them and not have to wait for repairs. Not to mention the communication barrier.

I know everyone says this unit is built like a tank, but it is true. I love the auto shutoff feature it has so you don't burn out the components.

As far as the sound. I use it for YouTube videos and client videos. Also you can record directly into a camera. So no need to go through a computer.

It sounds great to my ears. I listen to classic rock for perspective. Did I mention it looks beautiful.

Best in class workhorse!
I had the Revolution 2x2 which is not just the best in class interface but punches FAR above its weight! I got rid of an Apollo Twin Heritage for this and never looked back.
I upgraded to the 6x6 for the functionality of recording mobile devices (for podcast work) and the word clock.
Amazing, Amazing sound and rock solid build.
For me, I just need great sound and no intrusive software.
I briefly had a Neve 88M, but this little beast is damed close to that excellent piece of kit.
(And, for my usage, I couldn't justify the 2x jump in price, so here I am)
Now, if they would make a version with ADAT, that'd be unstoppable!)
Everything I thought it would be.
When my Apollo Twin started behaving poorly, I needed an interface, like yesterday. I talked to Aaron Tremaine about the Black Lion Audio Revolution 6x6 and my desire to stay on par with my Apollo Twin's audio quality. Aaron advised me in a way that made since based on all the options he suggested. I chose to purchase the new interface and experience the "Black Lion sound" and it's all good. It's much more warm than the Apollo, but not muddy.

I purchased a Lauten LS 280 for podcasting and it's a condenser that behaves like a dynamic in almost every way, including have to crank the gain to get a useable signal. The Revolution 6x6 was golden: all the gain I needed without any audible noise. The other reason I chose the Revolution 6x6 is the OTG (On-The-Go) input that will allow phone/tablet audio to be recorded to the device, or from the the device into the DAW. Whether it's connected to the computer, or in"Stand-alone mode", it makes recording content with great audio a piece of cake. In addition, to all these things, it's one of the best word clocks in the business, and anyone that has any amount of outboard gear will appreciate the importance of great clocking.

Sweetwater is the place to go for advice about gear and purchasing gear.

If you've ever wondered about Black Lion Audio, don't think, just buy!

SO GOOD!
The best audio quality at this price point.
Fantastic sound and build quality
I bought this interface after selling a Babyface Pro FS and immediately regretting it. I wanted a replacement that has the aspects of the Babyface that I liked (sound and build quality; performance) and improved on some of its ergonomic quirks (input/output jacks in awkward positions, no power switch, complex routing software that was overkill for my needs, etc.)

I know this is an overused expression, but the Black Lion is "built like a tank". The knobs are nicely weighted and feel like they're built to last.

Audio quality is (subjectively) the best I've heard in any of my interfaces. The headphone amps are clean and quite loud. It also performs flawlessly at a buffer size of 32 when playing virtual instruments on a Macbook Pro M2.

If your I/O needs are simple and you are willing to pay a little more for top quality, I highly recommend this interface.
