Great keyboard, little box

This was my first keyboard, and hopefully the one I learn to play with. It's worth every penny, with it's 6 iconic sounds of the seventies you can really do anything with it.

First rate sounds

When I saw the Sweetwater video review for the Reface CP, I knew I wanted it, and now that I have it home it's even better. As everyone says, top notch sounds. 4 of the sounds are pretty similar, but that's actually what I love about it. Between the knobs and effects and the slightly varied sounds, I don't think there's an electric piano sound I can't achieve with this thing. My favorite part after I got past the quality of sounds was the fun of tweaking them to create just the sonic quality I'm looking for. It's fun to just play with and very creative. In fact, it's so much easier to find the sounds you want by tweaking things on the fly that I think I'm going to get another in the series, probably the CS.Lastly, very solid built quality. The keys are obviously not weighted quality, but they feel pretty good considering the side. The sliders and knobs feel sturdy, and the speaker sound surprisingly good for their size. I also love the portability. This has to be the most versatile keyboard for portability. I can just go with batteries and the built in speakers to play with it. I can plug in headphone. I can use as a midi controller. Or I can send it to my monitors and you'd think I was playing a $3,000 Wurlitzer.Very happy with this purchase.

A beast

I just love the reface CP. Very well built. Even the minikeys are the best minikeys on the market. Sitting around the house I use the minikeys but on stage and in the studio I use a midi controller. If you play Rhodes live and can't afford roadies to lug that mammoth, this may be your answer. It definitely was my answer. All 6 sounds are very high quality.

Wurlitzer, Rhodes, Clav, Yamaha CP and TOY PIANO! Touche' Yamaha. I'm not an 88-key kind of guy and I'm not a lover of software, either. I like hardware, I like switches, dials, knobs, and faders. This piano actually has all of that. I didn't think that this Reface keyboard would end up in my top three, but I have to say it did! I don't have an 88-key piano and I probably never will because my need for piano is not as pressing as my need for modules and small instruments with the exact sounds I need. I need this for vintage pianos, and the toy piano I never thought I wanted.
