Time to Meet the Reaper

Whether you play rock, metal, or fusion, the Schecter Reaper-7 Multiscale is a force to be reckoned with. This red-hot axe features a resonant poplar-burl-topped swamp ash body, ensuring maximum natural tone and killer looks. High-output Diamond Decimator humbuckers make the Reaper-7 Multiscale the sonic equivalent of a flame thrower but still give you enough versatility to cover all of your tonal bases. As for comfort, after experiencing this guitar's sleek body contours, Ultra-access Neck Carve, and multi-scale ebony fingerboard, you'll have a hard time putting it down. The Reaper-7 Multiscale includes a Hipshot hardtail bridge and tuners for rock-solid intonation. Eye-catching black and chrome hardware completes the package. This is one Reaper that you'll want to meet.

Natural tone and resonance

The Schecter Reaper-7 Multiscale is simmering with natural tone and resonance, thanks to its poplar-burl-crowned swamp ash body. The swamp ash imparts a musical blend of warmth, brightness, and midrange "pop." This already exquisite tone is then balanced out with a poplar burl veneer, which also lends to the Reaper-7 Multiscale a unique, eye-catching appearance. At Sweetwater, we appreciate an axe that produces great-sounding tone — even before you plug it in!

Face-melting humbuckers

As great as the Reaper-7 Multiscale sounds acoustically, it was built to be plugged in — and you won't be disappointed! Its high-output Diamond Decimator pickups slice through the mix like hot adamantium but give you enough versatility to conquer any sonic situation you might encounter. It includes plenty of tonal control, by way of a master volume, master tone, and 3-way pickup selector. You also get a push-pull pot for coil-split single-coil tones.

The Reaper Series — sleek, sharp, and aggressive

Schecter's Reaper Series is built for sonic domination. These axes boast poplar-burl-topped swamp ash bodies for supreme resonance and custom-shop-level looks. Ebony fingerboards and 5-ply maple/walnut Ultra-thin "C" set necks deliver unbelievable playability. Strap one of these babies on, and you'll enjoy extreme comfort, thanks to extensive body contouring and Ultra-access Neck Carves. Want tone that cuts like a scythe? If so, you'll appreciate the Reaper Series' high-output Diamond Decimator pickups. Hipshot hardtail bridges supply rock-solid tuning. Complete with attractive black and chrome appointments, these guitars are top-drawer all the way.

What is Certified Open Box Gear?

At Sweetwater, we're so picky that what we call "Certified Open Box" is actually better than what most music retailers sell as "new" gear! Our gear hasn't endured hundreds of people a week plunking away at all the keyboards, fumbling through Stairway to Heaven on every guitar or playing with every fader and knob on a mixer or control surface.

Certified Open Box (also known as a demo) means we’ve had it out of the box for our YouTube channel, displayed at events, tested in our studio, or maybe it was in a customer’s hands for a few days and isn’t ‘factory fresh’ as a result. Every Certified Open Box item we sell has Sweetwater’s 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty and has been tested and verified up to ‘new’ specs by our factory-authorized technicians to make sure it’s in perfect working order before we ship it to you.

When you buy a Certified Open Box item at Sweetwater, you get:
  • 2-year Total Confidence Coverage Warranty™!
  • Products inspected and tested by our factory-authorized techs, guaranteed to function like new (or better)!
  • FREE shipping on most items

Reviews

First Multiscale and First Schecter
I started writing material in drop A earlier this year and I wanted a guitar that would handle that low A better. So, I went searching for my first multiscale guitar. I gave this one a shot, and I'm so glad I did. It was my first Schecter as well. The quality control is out of this world. Smoothest fretboard I've ever felt. The rest of the guitar is on point too. The pickups in particular are really good. I was wary of them because of the blade design, and because the dimensions of them make it impossible to swap them out with aftermarket offerings. But they sound way above average. The only thing I don't love about this guitar is the headstock. It's rather large and unwieldy, the tuning pegs are very close together. But the overall balance of the guitar is perfect. It hangs with zero neck dive and it absolutely shreds. I've since given this guitar to my bandmate, and I use my Strandberg now as my main, but I miss the Reaper! Schecter fan for life now.
amazing guitar
This guitar have a great look and feels awesome!!! for sure one if not the best 7 String guitar in this price range.
Music background: Guitar Player and Producer
Can Do It All
Killer guitar that has the ability to play all styles including heavy djent-style and metalcore, all the way to gospel and worship through cleaner tones.

Sick guitar
This was my first 7 string so it took a minute to get acquainted with it but it is an amazing guitar. The strings that came with it were a bit too thick but once i threw some ernie ball cobalt regular slinkys on there it sounded and played amazingly. Very solid construction and the fanned frets took zero adjustment. They felt perfecly natural from the start. Love the looks and the satin finish as well. Best 7 sting I've ever played. Shout out to sweetwater and my sales engineer Ben Robinson for the amazing customer service!
