Time to Meet the Reaper

Whether you play rock, metal, or fusion, the Schecter Reaper-6 FR S is a force to be reckoned with. This red-hot axe features a resonant poplar-burl-topped swamp ash body, ensuring maximum natural tone and killer looks. A high-output Diamond Decimator bridge humbucker makes the Reaper-6 FR S the sonic equivalent of a flame thrower but still gives you enough versatility to cover all of your tonal bases. What's more, Schecter gave the Reaper-6 FR S an ultra-cool Sustainiac neck pickup that lets you pull off flying solos like nothing else out there. As for comfort, after experiencing this guitar's sleek body contours, Ultra-access Neck Carve, and fast-playing ebony fingerboard, you'll have a hard time putting it down. The Reaper-6 FR S includes a Floyd Rose 1500 tremolo for rock-solid intonation. Eye-catching black and chrome hardware completes the package. This is one Reaper that you'll want to meet.

Natural tone and resonance

The Schecter Reaper-6 FR S is simmering with natural tone and resonance, thanks to its poplar-burl-crowned swamp ash body. The swamp ash imparts a musical blend of warmth, brightness, and midrange "pop." This already exquisite tone is then balanced out with a poplar burl veneer, which also lends to the Reaper-6 FR S a unique, eye-catching appearance. At Sweetwater, we appreciate an axe that produces great-sounding tone — even before you plug it in!

Face-melting humbucker

As great as the Reaper-6 FR S sounds acoustically, it was built to be plugged in — and you won't be disappointed! Its high-output Diamond Decimator bridge humbucker slices through the mix like hot adamantium but gives you enough versatility to conquer any sonic situation you might encounter. It also includes plenty of tonal control, by way of a master volume, master tone, and 3-way pickup selector.

Never-ending tone

You just can't beat the sheer sustain you'll get out of your Reaper-6 FR S's Sustainiac humbucking neck pickup. That's because this unique pickup design features a special sustain circuit that's designed to let notes ring on as long as you like. Just kick in the sustain circuit, play a note or chord on your Reaper-6 FR S, and let the electromagnetic feedback carry your sound as long as you like. You haven't busted out a solo till you've rocked a Reaper-6 FR S!

The Reaper Series — sleek, sharp, and aggressive

Schecter's Reaper Series is built for sonic domination. These axes boast poplar-burl-topped swamp ash bodies for supreme resonance and custom-shop-level looks. Ebony fingerboards and 5-ply maple/walnut Ultra-thin "C" set necks deliver unbelievable playability. Strap one of these babies on, and you'll enjoy extreme comfort, thanks to extensive body contouring and Ultra-access Neck Carves. Want tone that cuts like a scythe? If so, you'll appreciate the Reaper Series' high-output Diamond Decimator pickups. Schecter custom hardtail or Floyd Rose 1500 bridges supply rock-solid tuning. Cant put it down. Impressed with the performance of this guitar as I would rate it up there with some MIJ ibanez ive owned. Im landing all my hardest licks and tricks sounding better than I ever have and even progressing on ones i didnt think i could do

This thing is playing like MIJ for me. I am pretty shocked still at how well it shreds for indonesian/schecter. I am very particular with having good necks and low action. have really only ever owned high end super great necks and quality from gibson and MIJ ibanez prestige. I wouldnt say the quality is perfect like MIJ absolutely but just the playability out of the box is very impressive. I will probably still have a pro set up done just to make sure everything is as perfect and lowest action possible but I could also just keep it as is without any gripes because im currently ripping this thing and it sounds crazy sick. I dont think im spending 2000+ dollars on prestige ibanezes. No offense to ibanez, still my favorite brand. But I mean, this thing is feeling even better and better the more time I spend familiarizing myself to it. And it sounds absolutely sick. The sustainiac and schecter pickup is literally screaming so loud when i bend and beautiful vibrato. Really crisp. The sustsainer is easier to use than i thought itd be. It kinda plays itself actually. And i like playing with the sustainer always on because sort of like a wah just turned on and it adds so much killer tone if you play aggressive dimebag type lead. I also like to roll back the volume and tone for some softer prettier phrasing and works just as fine as my others even with the sustainer on. If you were debating like I was on whether to try this out or just going with your choice of $ guitar, just get this it plays just as well and has better specs and better price. I had some doubts about whether id like playing this less than my favorite MIJ guitars with their typical reliable perfect necks and playability for me, and i gotta say I am extremely satisfied with this purchase I had 3 guitars i was looking at and i chose the schecter for its specs, the 2 of which are much higher value in terms of $$$ but Im very pleased to say Im glad I chose this one over them. I also saw this same guitar used on other websites online for a bit cheaper, I chose to order brand new from sweetwater as I believe or rather trust in their services.

Glad I bought it

Yes indeed I like it. I actually bought this for my brother as a surprise gift but kinda want to keep it now, of course Im still giving it to him. I would say this is a shred guitar at least compared to my Paul, Explorer type guitars. The neck is for sure thinner than what Im used to and plays very smooth and feels good and right. Out of the box this thing is intonated correctly and the frets have been levelled and dressed, edges rounded, I havent experienced any fret buzz or dead spots while playing all over the board. Ive never been a Floyd Rose kinda dude or any floating bridge for that matter mostly because I never understood how to tune the things and I guess how to use them . Sounds simple enough just push down or pull up but I always had unwanted string noise, other notes sneaking in on me, and not enough sustain so I always just blocked em. But this thing is fun to jam on especially with that sustain neck pickup, sweet dive bombs and other trem tricks, me thinks Im actually using it correctly now, sounds like Im a rock star finally. It hasnt went out of tune on me so far with all whammy stuff Ive been practicing. No scratchy noises in the pots or pickup switching. I havent seen any cosmetic scratches or dings but I also really dont care about that stuff, if it doesnt affect tuning and playing I just dont care, and cmon, if you play guitar that will show up eventually unless you wanna leave on the wall and just look at it. So this is just my opinion, experience so far with "THE" guitar that showed up on my doorstep. And also I think his name is Jim Watson was sending me pics and keeping my updated on the set up, final inspection and shipping info before I even had it in my hands, very cool. Hope this helps. -Lee-
