Three Channels of Iconic All-analog Amp Tones

The Two Notes ReVolt Guitar is a 3-channel amplifier simulator with an all-analog signal path, complete with a 12AX7 preamp tube — run at a healthy 200V — for added warmth and bite. The ReVolt Guitar's three channels deliver the full gamut of tones, from high-headroom cleans to hard-rock crunch to searing high-gain leads. You also get an integrated OD-Boost circuit to bolster your spotlight-stealing solos. An analog speaker simulation ensures a polished, miked-cab sound, both onstage and in the studio. Integrating the ReVolt Guitar with the rest of your rig is a cinch, thanks to a 4-cable mode, an FX loop, and MIDI I/O. This guitar preamp pedal also includes a collection of ten DynIRs for situations where you need more DI flexibility. Guitarists searching for a robust, made-to-move solution for their pedalboards and fly rigs will get tons of mileage out of the Two Notes ReVolt Guitar.

Bucketloads of iconic amp tones

Two Notes understands what guitarists want. Thus, the ReVolt Guitar's three tonally distinct channels reflect history's most iconic amp tones. The American Clean channel delivers crystalline, high-headroom cleans with just enough warmth to tickle your ears. The British Crunch channel yields a valve-inflected hard-rock growl. And the Modern Lead channel supplies you with all the slo-style high-gain gnarliness you can handle. All the ReVolt Guitar's amp tones employ an all-analog signal path, which includes a 12AX7 preamp tube running at a hearty 200V for extra warmth and bite. An integrated OD-Boost circuit, with dedicated switching and level control, is also included — exactly what your solos need to cut through the noisy din.

Built-in analog speaker simulation

When you're using the Two Notes ReVolt Guitar onstage to feed a PA, you need a high-quality speaker simulation to ensure a natural sound. That's why this preamp pedal includes a built-in analog speaker simulation. Thanks to this cab sim, you'll experience a detailed, focused sound, both in your monitors and at front of house, while maintaining a manageable volume onstage. The ReVolt Guitar's speaker sim also works in the studio when you're in a pinch; just plug in, and you're ready to go. Want the ultimate DI solution? No problem. The ReVolt Guitar comes with the ReVolt: Series-G DynIR Cabinet Collection, which includes ten superb DynIR captures inspired by the world's most coveted guitar amps. All you need to do is load the DynIRs into your Captor X or Torpedo C.A.B. M+, and you'll be ready to rock.

Easy integration with your existing guitar rig

Here at Sweetwater, we appreciate how easy it is to integrate the ReVolt Guitar into our existing setups. A 4-cable mode makes complex routing scenarios a piece of cake. An FX loop makes adding stompboxes and outboard effects effortless. You also get MIDI I/O for remote loop switching and a whole lot more. No matter how simple — or complicated — your setup is, the ReVolt Guitar has what it takes to serve as the beating heart of your rig.

Best of class in features, feel, tone and function
I purchased the Revolt Guitar to use on my living room "upright" pedalboard. I am running it with a few pedals into headphones for silent practice and also for dialing in patches on my Eventide H9 to save for later use in my home recording studio. The feel, touch dynamics and response to compression are truly the best I've felt in any such pedal board amp, and I have tried the Quilter Superblock 45, Simplifier, UA Dream 65, Strymon Iridium, as well as several reactive loads on my tube amp. Love the Revolt. Interesting name - in French it means uprising, revolution, overthrow of tyranny. In English, it means to disgust, lol. Being of French descent, I enjoy it even more, because I get it, and it gets me. I actually purchased this on Amazon through Sweetwater's subsidiary Gear Nuts. Quick delivery, hassle-free interest free financing, and free returns within 30 days. Unbeatable convenience and service. Kudos to all involved.

Utterly amazing!
My purpose behind buying the Revolt was to have a plug and play setup in my man cave that sounded good with a set of powered monitors. I wanted a simple setup and got way more than I bargained for. The Revolt is a powerful, powerful tool to achieve professional sound.

I got a couple Presonus 5 inch powered monitors, awesome by the way, plugged my guitar into the Revolt and hit a chord on the clean channel. I was rewarded by crystal clear, sweet tones that sounded great with all my guitars, including my ultra budget Harley Benton Les Paul. Added a little reverb and delay and spent the next hour playing every blues lick I know. Beautiful.

Moved on to the British Crunch channel and immediately reached for my Les Paul. I swear on everything Holy that when I dialed that thing to my liking it is a straight up near perfect Plexi sound. Normally I'm a big pedal guy, but honestly it sounded so good that I didn't even start adding any overdrive until the next day. Once I started incorporating my pedals I can get virtually any dirty tone you can think of from rock, metal, dirty blues, etc.

The modern lead tone is completely awesome. I originally thought to dial it in to a high gain rhythm tone but I liked it so much for lead that I only use it strictly for leads and leave rhythm to the British Crunch channel.

Though originally intended for just a simple setup, I plugged into the power amp section of both my Boss Katana mk2 head and my Blackstar tube amps to run through my cabs. Using it as a true three channel preamp section yielded incredible results. The clean channel becomes a perfect pedal platform while the other two just sound fabulous.

I was so beyond impressed with this unit I took it to show my guitar teacher. He runs his own audio/visual business and has forgotten more about dialing in tone than I'll ever know. When I ran through all three channels into his rig he was highly impressed. When I added the Two Notes Torpedo C.A.B. M+, I haven't even played through my cabs. I've been running direct into either my monitors and my Headrush powered speaker. The tones are just that good. Running through an amp and cabs is just the icing on the cake.

If you're on the fence about the Revolt, jump off, get one, and be happy. Believe me when I say you will be happy with this beast. I recommend getting the Torpedo CAB to go along with it. Put them on your pedalboard and you're absolutely ready to plug into house speakers or PA system. You'll have everything you need.

Amazing Sound!
This is an amazing preamp/amp simulator pedal. I keep swapping this in and out with my Tone King Imperial, and frankly prefer the tone from the Two Notes, which is about a 1/3 of the cost. I swapped the stock tube for a Genalex 12AU7, and it dropped the noise floor, really cleaned up the high gain channels, and still has tons of headroom. Having said that, the tone is fine with the stock tube, just that there is a little hiss at baseline. If I weren't playing primarily in worship, where a background hiss is easily heard, the stock tube would have been fine. This preamp is fantastic for straight to FOH. The only drawback is that there is only one option for cab sim.
Liked it so much I bought another one
Bought one when they first came out and fell in love with it. Recently a buddy needed to build a lfy rig and already had a CAB M so I hooked him up with a Revolt. He couldn't be happier. Well worth he money.
Sheer joy for this beginner/intermediate player
I had only used solid state amps until I got this unit and I have a ways to go to understand tone in general, but I am in love and I don't care how I got here. I like the simplicity of the three options presented on this unit. The tones are so giggle-causing awesome that I contracted extreme GAS immediately and spent cold hard cash on another tube amp (monoprice 15-w, which is also a GREAT find) and made my own MOD102+ amp from kit and woodworked a nice amp cabinet from a 12-inch celestion. Now I am awash in tube tones. This thing—led me to the enlightened state I now am in. Phew!

Buy if you want to enter nirvana, but do not go gently into that good night—will likely cause GAS.
