Three High-quality Piano Pedals in One!

Roland's PRU-3 piano pedal combines three high-quality piano pedals into one easy-to-manage and attractive unit. Three discrete outputs let you plug the RPU-3 into any control that uses a 1/4" input, allowing you to use it with digital pianos and keyboards made by many manufacturers. When used with Roland's FP-7F series, RD-700 series, or any other Roland piano with half-damper capability, the RPU-3 gives you incredibly fine control over your playing style and expression. The RPU-3 can also provide completely hands-free control over many other instrument functions, including the FP-7F's onboard looper and harmony effects.

Roland RPU-3 3-pedal Piano Pedal Features at a Glance:
  • 3 pedals combined into one convenient and clutter-free unit
  • Separate 1/4" outputs for each of the three pedals
  • Negative (-) polarity for use with normally-closed pianos and keyboards
  • Half damper functionality when used with Roland keyboards
Get three easy-to-manage piano pedals in one, with a Roland PRU-3 3-pedal controller!

Reviews

Love it!
Works great. (It does move on a hard floor, so I'm experimenting with keeping it in place )
Zero complaints
It's solid and feels great to use. I'm never chasing it around the floor, even on carpet. The pedals feel nice and have a surprisingly usable range. I even use them for effects on certain instruments, like having a mod wheel at my feet. Not quite like a wah/volume pedal but closer than you'd expect. Great for half-pedaling for instruments that support it.

I use it through a MIDI Expression iO, which makes it play nice with everything, even my Komplete Kontrol (which doesn't support many pedals for such a popular keyboard. If you've been through many pedals like I have, trying to find one that works with everything in every mode without unexpected issues, the iO puts all that to bed. Just plugging that because it ironed out every issue I had using any given pedal with any keyboard or VST.

The RPU has made the playing experience more expressive but I can't stress enough how nice it is to stop chasing a sustain pedal around and have it right where you need it. Without it moving around and making me look down and drag it back into place every song, I forget it's there—which is exactly what I wanted. Sitting at my keyboards feels more like sitting at a piano now.
Great pedal unit!
It does what it's supposed to and it doesn't slide on the floor.
Solid
This foot pedal works great. A little resistance- not 'springy' gives it a more real piano pedal action. Feels really nice. Equally, it is virtually immovable. I've never had a foot pedal that stayed in place no matter the surface. A little pricey but I decided to make the investment for a solid, natural- feeling pedal. Rt pedal is sustain. The others are cc assignable. I use middle for expression and lt for volume mostly. I have a Hammond library so it's nice to have sustain and Leslie pedal for that. I own Roland boards so no compatibility issues.
Awesome Pedal
Works great with Roland Fantom 7. You can also assign the pedals to work for anything just about, like expression, pitch bend, modulation, midi cc stuff, etc. The 3 connections have TRS Plugs and the output is variable, not just "open/close".

Simply put, modern electronic music wouldn't exist without Roland. Many of the electronic musicians here at Sweetwater cut our teeth on TR Rhythm machines and fondly remember programming our first TB-303s. We owe a good part of our careers to this amazing and innovative company. It's been fun to watch and grow right alongside Roland, as they've introduced wave after wave of revolutionary keyboards, digital pianos, and more. For example, Roland's V-Drum Kits continuously redefine the possibilities of electronic drums, beginning with SuperNATURAL technology to the latest Prismatic Sound Modeling. We're huge fans, and we'd love to tell you all about them. Whether you want a pocket-sized synth or a cutting-edge video mixer, if Roland makes it, then Sweetwater is 100% behind it.
