So close
This is a really helpful tool. Just not quite as good as I expected. The 3 fingers that slip onto the Whale Tail should be square not rounded. I realize these are small fingers of metal and quite hard to break a sharp angle in with amateur tools. But with a proper die and press it shouldn't be a problem to make them match the drawing.

The problem being, when you apply pressure (yes I slacked the string) to pull the saddle back, it starts to pivot downward (toward the body). The drawing shows it fitting snug, with no room to pivot.

Still a handy tool, just not as good as designed.
Good tool for the DIY person
Good tool. If your a DIY person, get this tool.
Does as advertised, but beware.
The tool does what it is advertised to do and fits on 1000 and 1500 series floyd roses as well, HOWEVER the knurled end is only a glorified nut and is not one piece with the screw. While using this the first time, the heavy knurled end fell off and landed on my guitar. Oooof. It seems like a tiny dab of some glue (I'd guess epoxy) was used but not enough by any means.

If you buy this tool, I'd take it apart and glue the knurled end on to the screw better than the factory did. Mine might be a dud, but at least check to see how well the knurled end is attached before use. Your guitar's finish will thank you for it.

Doesn’t work for EVH Wolfgang Special
The locking screws are too short and the back plate won't fit behind the screw head. I managed to push it down and get it in my first string but then nearly wasn't able to get it off, all the while it was pushing the lock screw down and was not going to allow me to properly intonate.

Not worth $
This works on a 1000 Series FR but not a licensed FR on a '92 Ibanez.

The legs on the bottom side are too short to create a secure grip on the clamp screw
If your intonation is all the way forward, this tool is too short.
When I opened the bag it came in, the device was unscrewed and I had to search to find the spring (thank God I found it) There COULD be a stop on the end of the threads to prevent this.

Further, due to the way this is designed I would recommend unscrewing the fine tuner screws to work with it.

Overall it is usefull on a series 1000 FR, but I think for $ they could do MUCH better.
