That's why every drum size in this Reference Pure shell pack is built from a custom blend of woods for the best tone and performance: an all-maple 12" tom and maple/mahogany 13" tom for warmth and balance; 8-ply 16" and 18" floor toms with added mahogany inner plies for a powerful, controlled thump; and a 6-ply mahogany/2-ply maple 22" kick drum for punch and thunderous low end to fill a room. Lastly, the plies are formed in high-temperature molds with 1,000 PSI of hydraulic pressure to create drum shells with remarkable tone, vibrancy, and strength.
