It can shape the preamp to a singer’s voice, darken up banjos or mandolins, or add brightness to dark guitars or horns. While not a surgical fix for problem frequencies or disheveled instruments, the REX’s EQ is more than enough to tease pleasant, amplified tone from practically any source. Connect your tuner’s input to Send while leaving the Return disconnected — the tuner will stay active, even with the preamp muted.
