Cool Stick Control for Hot Gigs

You're playing a marathon set, and it's getting hot onstage. Not to be indelicate, but you're drenched in sweat - and your drumsticks are in danger of flying right out of your hands. Sweetwater has the solution: Promark ActiveGrip Drumsticks. With ActiveGrip sticks, you can handle any gig with cool confidence and firm control. These drumsticks have a heat-activated grip coating that becomes tackier as your temperature rises and your hands get sweaty. ActiveGrip sticks are comfortable and don't tear up your hands or affect your technique. The coating's no thicker than a regular lacquer coating and won't transfer to your drum rims, cymbals, or your hands. Pick up a pair of Promark ActiveGrip Drumsticks and experience the difference.

Promark R7AAG 7A ActiveGrip Drumsticks Features:
  • Revolutionary drumsticks with heat-activated ActiveGrip coating
  • Rebound balance: rear-weighted feel for agility and finesse
  • Shaft material: hickory
  • 7A size
  • 0.535" diameter
  • Acorn tip
Beat the heat with Promark ActiveGrip drumsticks!

New Drummer - My favorite in the bunch
I bought a bunch of different sticks, different sizes, and different prices. This pair was my favorite. I'm very new to drumming but a life long musician. The sticks I tried are in the pictures below. These just felt the most natural in my hands, well balanced, natural bounce, and felt like extensions of my hand.

Great sticks for any genre
I primarily play jazz and for worship services at my church, and these sticks have been great! The balance is amazing, as is the durability and overall feel of the stick. You get a nice attack from cymbals, without being that annoying heavy tone to them, and the tip doesn't splinter for a long while of playing unlike many other acorn tips especially. Have been using these for years, absolutely recommend!
great feel and durable
I love these sticks. Between the way they are balanced and the grippy coating, they feel great and give me much better control. The really impressive thing is the durability. Been using same pair for a few month and the shoulders have only a few nicks, not the chewed up rattiness you usually get even w/ hickory. I guess that heat treatment or whatever magic they use really works. They might seems pricy, but the longevity makes them a total bargain. Plus you get the grippy stuff so you don't have to apply a coating or tape. Yes, IMHO these are the best.
