Rackmount your Qu-SB Digital Mixer

The AH-QU-SB-RK19X rack kit places your Allen & Heath Qu-SB digital mixer conveniently alongside your other rackmount gear. Sweetwater has found the Allen & Heath Qu-SB to be an outstanding solution that's flexible, scalable, and reliably rock-solid. Now, thanks to the Allen & Heath AH-QU-SB-RK19X, it's easy to transport, too.

Qu-SB digital mixer provides powerful mixing and recording

From live music performances to conference audio and panel discussions, the Allen & Heath Qu-SB is a powerful, portable digital mixer. It offers 16 mic/line inputs, and can be expanded to 32 channels via Allen & Heath AudioRacks. Use the Qu-Pad iPad app to access all mixer functions, from channel faders and metering, to effects racks, scene management, and USB audio control. Performers onstage can use the Qu-You app for iOS and Android to control their own monitor mixes. And with effects derived from the iLive console series, mic presets for leading microphone models, built-in multi-track USB recording and much more, the Qu-SB is amazingly versatile.

Reviews

Fits in 4U and does what it is supposed to do.
I installed the plates with the 4 Torx screws provided and put it in a Gator 4U rack bag with their Phillips screws. Took 10 minutes and it fits perfectly. I did not have any fit issues that were described in the earlier review. It does what it is supposed to do. It is pricey and should have been included with the QU-SB, rather than a $60 accessory but it does what it should do. I am happy with the rack mount.
Does what it’s designed to do
This product does exactly what it's designed to do. I take one star away for the cost. It's too expensive for two little pieces of metal that really should have come with the mixer.
Torx driver not included, Takes up 5 rackspaces
Meh - This kit works fine, but is quite expensive considering it's just 2 metal plates.

More importantly, it requires a T20 Torx driver to fasten to the mixer (not included). For many if not most people, this will mean a trip to the hardware store. This is disappointing. Why on earth not simply use a Phillips screw?

Finally, how many rackspaces does the mixer consume when installed? Apparently, it's such a great mystery that even Allen & Heath don't want you to know. I'm saddened to report that the mixer will NOT fit into a standard 4-rack space. This means that the mixer consumes a minimum of 5 rack spaces, despite its otherwise super compact size. I'm not sure if I will even be able to find a 5U or 6U shallow rack bag and if I can't use a lightweight rack bag, what's the point of having the mixer be lightweight?
