Lighter Weight and Still Great!

The Ultimate Support Pro-R-T-T mic boom stand features Ultimate Support's lighter-weight MC-05 shaft design. With thinner 22mm-thick steel tubing, it's easier to take along while still being sturdy enough to easily survive gigs night after night. The Pro-R-T-T's tripod legs fold upward for quick and easy storage, and the locking base mechanism allows you to lock them confidently in place while in use or in transit. Its telescoping boom's hub mechanism securely tightens to keep your boom right where you want it. Sweetwater performing artists love the strength-to-weight ratio and compact portability of this stand!

Ultimate Support Pro-R-T-T Microphone Stand Features:

  • Lightweight for easy transport but still tour tough for years of use
  • Standard 5/8" threads for attaching mic clips and other mounting hardware
  • Tripod legs fold up instead of down for efficient collapse-and-pack convenience
  • Base locks legs in the down position for use or in the up position for transport
  • Locking mechanism and base are made of durable, reinforced, lightweight plastic
  • Patented quarter-turn clutch makes height adjustment a snap
  • Telescoping boom's hub mechanism securely tightens to stay where you want it

Best mic stand I have ever used
Bought this strand probably 5ish years ago and still remains the best one I have ever used. Once my drummer used it he has to have one also.
Ultimate Support Pro mic stand
I have always heard great things about Ultimate Mic stands. A friend of mine, who owns his own studio, was bragging about these mic stands. The locking base is an amazing feature. My favorite is the one knob control feature which controls the tilt and the boom arm glide adjustment. You will love this feature! Great job Ultimate!

Best Mic Stand I've ever used!
I've owned and used a lot of different mic stands in my life and this is the best. It is very sturdy and well constructed. Easy to set up and boom stays in place. Very difficult to tip over due to solid and heavy base. I really like the way the legs lock in place when set up and when stored, they lock up and save space. Feels like it will last a long time with heavy usage. I play about 10 gigs per month at various venues and I expect this to last for quite a while!
Music background: Classically trained, play and teach guitar, various styles for over 40 years.
STAND-ing in our Savior’s Love
I purchased a bunch of these for the praise team at Church. I like the way it does two functions with one knob.
A few of the guys on the praise team are used to manhandling mic stands like in the past.
Tightening them so tight, you need a wrench to loosen them again.
They work fine with very little effort, if you balance them right.
I guess that's how life is, as we learn from the Creator of music.

Just get these already
TLDR: best mic stands on the market IMO with the easiest and fastest set up ever.

For context, I use these standing up for vocals while playing guitar and sometimes for drum mics as an overhead stand.

These stands are incredible. Purchased one and quickly ended up buying a few more to replace my Proline and K&M stands. They are well built, enough that I would feel fine with using one as a weapon haha. Something a lot of other reviews don't seem to mention is that when folded out, the legs lay pretty flat on the ground as opposed to other mic stands that have more clearance underneath for cables and such. Its not an issue at all but might need worked around for outdoor or backyard gigs on grass or rocks or something. Regardless it gives the stands a more streamlines look to them that I really dig.

The quarter turn clutch is really nice. I find it needs a little more than a quarter turn to tighten and loosen up completely, but it's miles better than the constant turning on the height adjustment of other mic stand brands.

The real GAME CHANGER is the head adjustment knob. Its one knob to adjust everything from how much the boom sticks out, the angle, and the orientation of the head. It's not something you think you need until you try it for yourself. It really speeds up setup times and is extremely easy to adjust in a hurry. Without him noticing. I timed my pickiest mic stand user at around two and a half minutes with my proline stand, and little over a minute with this mic stand. It doesn't seem like much but when in a hurry, every second counts.

Not the five stars because of one single gripe I had. The leaver on the telescoping part of the boom is nice and easy to use, but the part the extends cannot be rotated, or the leaver doesn't close the way it should. In other words, if you want to rotate your microphone, it HAS to be done at the main head adjustment knob, not the telescoping boom leaver. Not the biggest deal just something to keep in mind if you use the telescoping feature of the stand often.
