The Orange Pedal Baby Comes with 100W of Pedal-friendly Cab Fuel

If you’re the type of player who derives the majority of your tone from pedals and modelers, the 100-watt Orange Pedal Baby 100 is just the sort of unit you’ll want to reach for to move some air. Unlike other units, the Orange Pedal Baby 100 has the Class AB push-pull of a classic Orange guitar amp. The Orange Pedal Baby’s analog signal path remains neutral and flattering at all outputs; onboard 2-band EQ controls, which remain tonally transparent and out of the signal at 12 o’clock, allow you to shape your tone to your particular guitar cab and for each room or venue. The Orange Pedal Baby comes in at just 7 lbs., making this little powerhouse a great backup and a sweet little fly rig.

Note: This device is intended to drive a speaker cabinet and should not be placed in front of an amplifier or pedals.

100 watts of clean pedal power

Today’s pedals, pres, modelers, and floor units are unbelievably robust. It’s now completely possible to achieve some truly legendary guitar tones without an amp at all. The challenge is translating that sound to the live environment. The Orange Pedal Baby 100 gives you 100 watts of full-range, dynamic cab fuel to drive speakers and fill a room.

Easy traveling with the Orange Pedal Baby

Roughly the size of a ream of printer paper and weighing in at just 7 lbs., the Orange Pedal Baby 100 makes up an important part of any full-featured fly rig.

A smart backup amp

Sweetwater’s halls are full of stories of tubes and fuses going out right before a show. Don’t get caught unprepared — with the Orange Pedal Baby 100, you’ve got all you need to get sound to your listeners’ ears, all at a size that won’t break your back to have in tow. Just throw the Orange Pedal Baby in a backpack or in your pedalboard case and go.

Orange Pedal Baby 100 Power Amp Features:

  • 100 watts (70 watts at 16 ohms) of Orange-inspired pedal power
  • Translates your stomp and floor FX tones to the main stage
  • Lightweight and portable — weighs in at just 7 lbs.
  • Class AB analog circuitry — boasts the touch, feel, and dynamics of a classic Orange amp
  • Tonally neutral — won’t degrade your signal on the way in or out
  • 2-band EQ — tailors your tone for different cabs and venues
  • Part of the ultimate fly rig
  • Makes a handy little backup amp

Fits the Bill
Perfect for use with my Quad Cortex. Plenty of gain without having to keep looking over your shoulder for the cursed clipping light. Musical tone controls. The only improvement I could think of would be a stereo version.
I've wanted one of these for a while...
I've been using pedals & modelers directly into a board or a power amp for quite a while now. This just simplifies the rig into a tight little package with minimal controls. I like that it comes with bass & treble controls so I can shape the pedal output to match the cabinet arrangement. I normally start with the tone controls at 12 o'clock and then tailor the bass & treble on the power amp last after the pedals are all neutral off/on. I stopped using pedals into guitar amp preamps a very long time ago... never liked the added noise or complexity added to the control surface. The Pedal Baby fits a need I've long since desired in my rig.

Does what is supposed to and does it good. I set the eq flat and the volume on half drives an EVH 4x12 with no problems fast shipping

Gets the job done
I bought this to use as a solution when playing smaller gigs with my jazz combo, thinking that it wouldn't be loud enough to play with my metal band. I was dead wrong! I'm using a 16-ohm 4x12 ca,b so it's only pushing 70 watts, and it's just as loud as some of my tube heads.

Super happy with this compact solid-state amp
I have two tube combo amps which I love, but within the last year first one and then the other needed maintenance - making me realize how vulnerable I was to the whims of the "tube gods." Since I use pedalboards with preamps to get the tones I want (and hardly rely on the tone controls on my tube amps, except to perhaps adjust the bass and presence from time to time), I decided to get an Orange Pedal Baby 100 as a "backup." I chose this one because I specifically wanted a class A/B power amplifier, with its more pronounced but much more natural harmonic distortion in comparison to the smaller but similarly-priced class D power amplifiers out there. I'm so happy I did - it sounds great! I bought a Mesa Boogie 23 1x12 cabinet to go with it - and that's an excellent match. Back to the amp: I had thought perhaps I was going to need a tube preamp or booster to get a sound I could live with, but it sounds so nice with my Grace FELiX 2 solid-state preamp that I'm good as is (for a clean sound).

Also, I bought the Orange 3' speaker cable and am happy with that as well - plus the crazy orange color matches perfectly....
