T-style Swagger Tailor-made for Nick Johnston

Top-quality tonewoods, fine-tuned electronics, and a decidedly vintage soul solidify Schecter's Nick Johnston Signature PT electric guitar as a fantastic workhorse for classic rockers who demand versatility that more than handles the virtuosic playing of its namesake. Its alder body and maple neck will feel familiar to T-style players everywhere, delivering the chunky mids and prominent lows that helped skyrocket this tonewood in popularity over the years. Its vintage "C"-shaped roasted hard rock maple neck is capped with silky ebony for effortless fretting from head to heel. Sweetwater players especially love the PT's Schecter-designed pickups, with a single-coil in the bridge for some welcome twang and a humbucker in the neck for thick, full-bodied tones in complete clarity. This 6-string's locking tuners and Diamond PT-S bridge make string changes a breeze while keeping everything perfectly in tune, a crucial factor when needing a reliable instrument when out on the road. Prepare to dive into the "Atomic Mind" of Nick Johnston with his Schecter Signature PT!

Tried-and-true tonewood combination provides premium sound and feel

To meet the needs of one of today's progressive rock archetypes, Schecter and Nick Johnston decided on the classic combination of alder, maple, and ebony in constructing the PT. Choosing alder for the body ensures a punchy, full sound with good sustain, the perfect platform for the PT's high-powered electronics. Move up to the neck, and you'll be met with fast-playing roasted hard rock maple, smooth to the touch and shaped to a flawless vintage "C" for comfortable fretting in all positions. The PT's smooth-as-glass ebony fingerboard offers fantastic intonation and response, letting you fly up and down the neck's 22 jumbo frets with ease. Throw in brass circle fingerboard inlays for a welcome visual pop, and the Schecter PT is the high-performance machine T-style purists demand.

Schecter pickups deliver plenty of spank and sparkle

With a Schecter Nick Johnston single-coil pickup in the bridge and a Diamond '78 in the neck, this impressive PT dishes out Nick's trademark sound in waves with enough versatility to carve your own sonic path. Nick's signature single-coil conjures much of the twang and bite of a vintage original with an extra dose of hard-rocking tone for modern playing purposes. Flip to the Diamond '78 in the bridge, and you'll instantly tap into this humbucker's full-bodied clarity and powerful voice. Whatever style you're playing or sound you seek, the Nick Johnston PT's Schecter pickups will oblige.

Schecter Nick Johnston Signature PT Electric Guitar Features:

  • T-style signature guitar designed for prog rock virtuoso Nick Johnston
  • Punchy, full-sounding alder body lays a solid tonal foundation with good sustain
  • Vintage "C"-shaped roasted hard rock maple neck fills your hand comfortably
  • Glasslike ebony fingerboard facilitates lightspeed shredding across all 22 frets
  • Schecter Nick Johnston single-coil pickup in the bridge delivers plenty of spank and twang; Diamond '78 humbucker in the neck thickens your tone while enhancing clarity
  • Coil-splittable tone control unlocks additional single-coil sounds
  • Schecter locking tuners and Diamond PT-S bridge provide rock-solid tuning stability
  • Elegant brass circle fingerboard inlays add a dash of class

What is Demo Gear?

At Sweetwater, we're so picky that what we call a "demo" is actually better than what most music retailers sell as "new" gear! Our gear hasn't endured hundreds of people a week plunking away at all the keyboards, fumbling through Stairway to Heaven on every guitar or playing with every fader and knob on a mixer or control surface.

What demo means to us is that we've had it out of the box, or maybe it was in a customer's hands for a few days and isn't "factory fresh" as a result. Every demo item we sell has Sweetwater's 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty, and has been tested and verified up to "new" specs by our factory-authorized technicians to make sure it's in perfect working order before we ship it to you.

When you buy a Demo item at Sweetwater, you get:
  • 2-year Total Confidence Coverage Warranty™!
  • Products inspected and tested by our factory-authorized techs, guaranteed to function like new (or better)!
  • FREE shipping on most items
  • Equipment that will MEET or EXCEED your expectations!

Great (under radar) Tele

I knew Schecter made some nice guitars but was really surprised when I opened the box with this one. The look, quality & feel is evident and the roasted maple neck is awesome. Bridge pickup nice crisp country twang , neck humbucker is killer (less paulish) tone control splits it back to single coil for more traditional sound , middle position on switch gives that quacks sound . The guitar gets 5 different sounds , I love it !
Price is unbelievable, I would put it up against any top line Fender ! Anyway iam totally satisfied with this guitar & it might be my favorite guitar ,

Wonderfully versatile instrument

So, I was looking for a t-style guitar. I had a list of features I was looking for: Easy playing neck, locking tuners, easy upper fret-access, and a versatile set of pickups...This guitar delivers. The neck is flatter than I'm used to, but still incredibly easy to play. The bridge pickup has twang and bite, but enough muscle to avoid sounding brittle. The neck pup is a tad dark but sounds great with the coil-split. It's also not the quietest axe I've ever played, so that's why I took off half a star. The tuners are also some of the smoothest and most stable I've ever used. S/O to my rep Zack for his continued level of service!
