Stomp Your Way to the Top!

Rooted in the popular PT-2 pedalboard from Pedaltrain, the Classic 2 takes that time-tested design and makes it even better! First of all, you can stop trying to stuff your cables through those tiny portholes - the Classic 2's open-front design makes mounting your power supplies child's play. On top of that, Pedaltrain has increased the Classic 2's elevation by an entire inch, so it can accommodate just about any power supply or switching system that you may have in your rig. The guitarists here at Sweetwater have relied on Pedaltrain's rugged aircraft-grade aluminum alloy pedalboards for more than a decade. Grab yourself a Classic 2 and see why!

Pedaltrain Classic 2 Pedalboard at a Glance:
  • Set up your pedals any way you want
  • Includes plenty of adhesive for immediate use

Set up your pedals any way you want

With the Pedaltrain Classic 2 pedalboard, you can layout your effects any way you want. This pedalboard features an open frame that's elevated and angled, giving you added flexibility when you're configuring the layout of your effects and makes for fast and efficient setup and rearrangement. You can actually connect your cables neatly on the board by routing them over, under, and even through the slots in the top surface area - this way, they're not exposed on the top of the pedalboard, and you don't have to worry about accidentally disconnecting them with an ill-placed stomp when you're mid-solo!

Includes plenty of adhesive for immediate use

The Pedaltrain Classic 2 pedalboard comes with tons of industrial-grade, adhesive-backed, hook and loop material, as well as detailed instructions so you can setup your pedals quickly and efficiently, right out of the box.

Rugged construction for worry-free traveling

The Classic 2 pedalboard is made out of highly-durable aluminum alloy, one of the strongest and lightest metals on the planet. With no moving parts to loosen or wear out, you can rely on this Pedaltrain to protect your pedals - plus, it comes with a tough soft case that's got a heavy-duty metal zipper and reinforced stress points to further protect your valuable effects arsenal.

Pedaltrain Classic 2 Pedalboard Features:
  • Original 4-rail design and traditional rail spacing
  • Open-front design makes power supply mounting flexible and convenient
  • Increased elevation clears a wide variety of power supplies and switching systems
  • Pedaltrain's signature featherweight aircraft-grade aluminum alloy
  • Includes 96" adhesive-backed hook-and-loop pedal fastener and zip ties for securing cables
  • Includes fitted soft case

Reviews

Good stuff
I've always built my pedalboards in my shop. They're lightweight and strong plywood, but they don't come with a bag. This time around, I decided to buy, and I decided on the Pedaltrain.
I needed something that was reasonably priced as well as flexible. While I was looking at options I determined that there are really two kinds of boards: Flexible, and systems. Rockboard, for example, makes some very nice stuff that to me qualifies as a system. If I were building a board that I didn't intend to change often or ever, I may have gone with that or one of the other systems. But I needed something that I could change pedals on quickly without a screwdriver or having to clip zip-ties. I also wanted something that allowed me to run cables under to other boards without restriction. I couldn't do that with a board that has closed sides and back.
For those reasons, I went with the Pedaltrain. It's a simple, strong, extremely lightweight design with open sides and back. I can tuck cables under it. Included is enough hook and loop tape to build two boards. There's plenty of room for cable routing underneath. And, in this case, the board is big enough for me to keep my favorites on the board and have room to switch out pedals as needed.
The mix material design of square tube and flat aluminum stock looks rudimentary but is well thought out and useful. I stuck 3/4" loop Velcro (not included-they only include the 2" hook and loop) on the sides of the square tube so that cables could be tied to the bottom of the tubes with strips of hook Velcro. See attached images.
The soft case is well made and well padded, and therefore huge. I'm not complaining, I just didn't think this through enough to realize that a 24" board would come with a suitcase.
I am well pleased with this board. So much so that I bought one of the smaller Metro boards for travel.
Music background: Too many years of playing to not be better at it.
Perfect Fit!
Before purchasing this product, I talked with my Sweetwater rep Kenny. He suggested this pedal train board for the amount of petals I had. It was a great choice. All of my pedals fit nicely with room for growth. The board and materials all seem very high-quality. It came perfectly packaged in three days from Sweetwater. I would highly recommend purchasing this product from Sweetwater as always, Kenny Straton was a pleasure to work with.
Music background: Guitarist, songwriter and bassist of 6 years.
It is what I thought...
It's a pedal board. However, I'd been using a board that I custom made years ago from birch plywood. It was heavy and it was full of holes that I'd drilled for everytime I moved some pedals or added something new. The Pedaltrain is lighter, has that nice carrying case and makes it easy to make changes to my set-up if I want. Well worth the money.
Music background: 50+ years gigging, recording, etc.
New pedalboard
I got the combo deal that came with a one spot pro power supply. Coming from a nano+ to this has been a game changer. I can now fit all of my pedals and foot switches. Thanks to Erik Molenaar for being awesome and making it happen.
Amazing bord
When used the right way you can fit alot of pedals and the Velcro is super good
