Good tones with a great feel

The 11.75 inch Pearl Travel Conga is a great addition to my drum kit. I place it on left by my Hi-hat on a snare stand so I can quickly swap it out for a second snare. The tones are just like the full-sized congas, they take up such little room and they travel well. A travel case would be a good idea too.

Very pleasantly surprised.

As a Latin Percussion devotee, it wasn't easy to move away from the competitive LP Travel Conga, but happy I did.

I was looking for a lap-friendly practice drum I could travel with. The base of this Pearl is indeed lap-friendly and does not REQUIRE a stand, but one is available.

Crisp notes/tones out of this drum that's great for jamming, practice, or just adding to a percussion set.

Highly recommended.

Impressive

For playing in a band with amplified instruments these sound fantastic. They are loud and cut thru the mix just fine. I'm very impressed with them. I also play in an acoustic band and feel that in that setting they are lacking in warmth and bottom end, but for playing along with a kit drummer, they work great.
