A 212 That Hits Like a 412
Designed with the PT15 head in mind, the Suhr PT15 2 x 12-inch speaker cabinet was engineered to look, feel, and, most importantly, sound like a 4 x 12. This surprisingly lightweight behemoth pulls it off, too, exhibiting the depth, punch, and projection you'd typically associate with a raging half-stack. The PT15 2 x 12 houses diagonally mounted Celestion Greenback and Vintage 30 speakers, infusing it with a proprietary tonal cocktail made from two of guitar history's most iconic speakers. Moreover, this cab's closed-back construction yields well-controlled bass frequencies for a laser-precise sound with zero traces of flabbiness. The PT15 212 offers 50 watts of power handling, ensuring that it hits the perfect sweet spot when fueled by a cranked PT15 head. The PT15 2 x 12-inch speaker cabinet arms you with the most critical benefits of a 4 x 12, but in a smaller, lighter, and easier-to-manage form factor.

Your source for massive tone
Pete Thorn and John Suhr created the PT15 2 x 12 with one goal in mind: to engineer a lightweight 212 cab that captures the feel and tone of a 412 cabinet. To pull off this feat, the duo employed 4 x 12 construction methods to ensure the necessary air space for 412-levels of bass response and resonance. What's more, the PT15 2 x 12 brandishes an angled baffle, yielding outstanding projection for a sound that cuts through an aggressive full-band mix.

Diagonally mounted Celestion speakers
The Suhr PT15 2 x 12-inch speaker cabinet houses two Celestion speakers: a Greenback and a Vintage 30. The speakers are mounted diagonally, with the Greenback in the upper left and the Vintage 30 in the lower right. The Greenback exhibits a pronounced midrange attack and restrained high end, lending a muscular punch to your power chords and a scorching-hot character to your leads — with zero fizziness. The Vintage 30 churns out detailed and complex overtones, warm lows, vocal-sounding mids, and detailed highs. As far as speaker combinations, Sweetwater guitarists are hard-pressed to name a more potent sonic one-two punch.
Suhr: the pinnacle of craftsmanship, playability, and tone
Suhr doesn't just build handcrafted, boutique-quality instruments and amplifiers — the company creates exceptional tools that fuel musical dreams and artistic passions. John Suhr began crafting custom guitars in the mid-1970s, and by the dawn of the 1980s, he was building made-to-order Pensa-Suhr instruments for a who's who of top musicians. In the 1990s, John collaborated with celebrated rig builder Bob Bradshaw to design the now-legendary CAA 3+ and 3+SE preamps and the CAA OD-100 amplifier. In 1997, after a stint as senior master builder for Fender's Custom Shop, John founded his own company, a decision that enabled him to bring to fruition products of unrivaled quality, detail, and craftsmanship. Today, the Suhr name is synonymous with prestige; a guitar, bass, or amplifier with the Suhr marque garners instant respect. With elite players such as Mateus Asato, Reb Beach, Scott Henderson, James Norbert Ivanyi, Andre Nieri, Pete Thorn, Ian Thornley, Doug Aldrich, and Andy Wood on the company's roster, you can be certain that your Suhr places you in esteemed company.
