Full, Front-firing Bass from Your Cajon

With its built-in piezo pickup system, the Meinl Percussion Pickup Vertical Subwoofer Cajon is ready for plugged-in onstage performance. If you're looking for a cajon that delivers big, meaty bass notes directly to your ears and the front of the stage, then the Pickup Vertical Subwoofer Cajon is for you. This cajon substitutes a traditional rear port for an internal reflex channel that develops long, rich bass tones that linger. The Pickup Vertical Subwoofer Cajon's eco-friendly MDF body is capped with a beautifully figured, matte-finished Baltic birch faceplate, and percussionists at Sweetwater are impressed with the tones you can coax from this cajon. Finally, fixed internal snare wires give the Meinl Pickup Vertical Subwoofer Cajon a satisfying snap.

Link up other Meinl instruments

This cajon is equipped with a link input intended for use with other Meinl instruments with pickups. The link signal gets routed through the cajon's controls, enabling extra sound shaping before both signals get sent to a single amplifier. Using the link input, this cajon can eliminate the need for extra amplifiers, decrease a group's stage footprint, and lend a much cleaner visual look to a stage setup.

Note: Meinl's link system is not compatible with all instruments or sources. Be sure to call your Sweetwater Sales Engineer for more information and a complete list of compatible devices.

Professional quality with professional sound
Super stoked about this Cajon. I've played 2 gigs with it so far and I'm completely satisfied with the pick up and tone.
I've been playing the Meinl Maka burl strong cajon for years and always used a kick and snare mic to run it through the board.
The built in pick up is awesome for a clean professional look and professional sound to go with it.
Buy it!
Exactly what I was missing
I've been doing a lot of acoustic recordings, and they were definitely suffering from a lack of percussion. I am NOT a drummer. I purchased this thinking if I can keep a beat smacking my hands on a desk then I should be able to at least get a back beat going with this cajon. Not only was I right about that (for a pleasant change of pace) but this thing THUMPS. I would highly, HIGHLY, recommend this bad boy.
Blown Away!
I want to thank Timothy for recommending this specific work of art. He never misses. If you're a drummer considering a cajón, this one's it. I play drums at church but one of the priests is not to keen to drums. So being proactive, I decided to get a cajón, learn it in case drums come out of the equation in the future. 3 days after delivery, I took the cajón to church to test its piezo pickup. This thing blew my mind. The bass player said "oh yeah. Sounds just like the drums but without overwhelming. Let's use it". The bass sound is superb (with or without the piezo pickup). As a drummer, you will easily learn how to play a cajón because it's about mimicking drum rhythms.
Best Bass Cajon pickup rocks
Bought this to supplement my Meinl Professional Cajon. Also got the Meinl heel activated foot pedal. I use both of them together by sitting on the Bass unit with the other one in front of me horizontally on an amp stand. Both units have 2 - 1/4" outputs so they can be amped together and then to the main amp system. Playing two cajons with bass pedal gives me awesome sound diversity for church music and other venues. Both cajons have sound adjustment and volume knobs. Recently also got the Meinl hi-hat stand with cymbals and tambourine and castanet attachment to use with my left foot. Sweetwater rocks.
