Faster and More Accurate Tuning

Graph Tech's Ratio Tuned Machine Heads offer a revolutionary new experience in ensuring your guitar is tuned more quickly and accurately than conventional tuner designs. Each tuner in the set boasts a custom gear ratio that makes each machine head react the same — roughly one full turn per whole tone. Because each string reacts the same, not only is tuning a more pleasant experience, but nailing alternate tunings is a much faster process. Graph Tech's mission statement is, "To Improve Your Playing Experience." They've nailed it with the Ratio Tuned Machine Heads.

Graph Tech's Ratio technology

Though it's a simple idea, Graph Tech's Ratio technology completely changes the way you tune your guitar. All six strings are outfitted with gear ratios that ensure you attain the same response from your wound low E string as you do your unwound high E. No matter what string you are tuning, you'll notice that one full turn of the tuner equates to roughly one whole tone pitch change. The Ratio technology makes nailing your pitch much easier and faster. And you'll love how fast it is to get to Drop D and other alternate tunings.

Easy installation with no drilling

One of the greatest benefits of the Ratio Tuned Machine Head system is that they install onto your guitar's headstock without any drilling or other destructive procedures and are completely reversible. Graph Tech's InvisoMatch mounting plates ship with the tuners. The machine heads mount directly to those plates and aren't screwed into your instrument. As their name would suggest, the InvisoMatch mounting plates are completely hidden by the Ratio Tuned Machine Heads and offer a sleek, low-profile look.

Graph Tech

Graph Tech has made it their personal mission to supply the products that will make your instrument play better, sound better, and perform better. From the company's popular String Saver saddles to their TUSQ string nuts that can be found on countless manufacturers' guitars, the company's products are a mainstay in the guitar and bass industry. Reviews

These things are beautiful
Not sure that I really needed them, I did put on some flatwounds on at the same time. They turn silky smooth, look great and they come with a bunch of hardware to mount on anything.
Superb tuners
Put a set of inline Ratio tuners on a tele 2 yrs ago and i can't say enough about them. Full turn = semi-tone, the different gear ratio by string just makes all the difference. Put these on my brand new Martin 000-16 Streetmaster. I highly recommend these tuners.

Ratio Tuners
Received my tuners yesterday from Sweetwater. I knew that I would have to ream out the backside for the tuner to fit properly. I couldn't find a drill to fit, larger than 3/8", smaller than a 1/2". Settled for a Dremel with a sanding bit. Simple enough to remove the existing tuner, however found that they had been replaced before, with a Fender tuner, with holes covered with wood filler, clear coat of some kind. The Graph Tech included four different plates that would cover the bases for various possible installs. Mine had two holes and the plates are made from aluminum. There is an option to drill out some shallow holes, and eliminate the plates, or order some chrome or gold plates that are available to order. I also had to trim 1 through 4, plates to fit as they needed about a 32nd of an inch to align the holes for the screws and allow the hole for the tuner to fit through. Once completed, the tuners seemed solid. Looking forward to the rebuild that I'm doing. Squier Strat-Indonesia made, other modifications include a 69'pickups assembly from Fender Custom, and Sweetwater. That alone has made a difference, adding a bridge-Fender next. WP

Not Just A Locking Tuner
Hands down the best locking tuner out there.!
It would take all day to explain why you should buy these., so I'll just say "BUY THEM" .!
And then replace every nut you have with theirs.. Amazing products from a top notch company and employees.!

Squire Vintage 50's VIBE Beware
First off, I have upgraded dozens of tuners so I am a old dog at that trick. Ratio tuners are a great idea and I don't know they they have not been adopted by everyone. Once you get them installed, ratio tuners beat all others hands down for the control they give you.

Have to say I am disappointed in Graph Tech. There are 5 different sets of mounting plates for these tuners however, none work for the Squire Vintage 50's Telecaster. They are made of very soft tin and really clash in looks with the highly polished chrome tuners.

After reaming out the tuner holes so the tuners fit, I had to cut one end off two of the tuner back plates and for the four back plates between the E's I had to cut both ends off. Hip Shot has a much better system for the backing plate aspect. So, the tuners come with 5 sets of useless backing plates and unless you want to spend time modifying these backing plates, you cant use any that Graph Tech supplies in the box.
