Reviews

Amazing tuners for a reverse headstock!
I decided to upgrade my B.C. Rich Ironbird Extreme MKII with some locking tuners and decided to go with these after reading and watching great reviews. The guitar I put this on has a reverse headstock, so you'll want to get the lefty tuners.

The tuners come with every plate needed to fit your guitar. The only minor gripe that I have is I wish Graph Tech would give you the matching color/finish of the tuners. This is something I'd pay a little more for if that were the case. Regardless of what color/finish you choose, you'll get chrome plates. I wanted them to match my guitar, so I bought the matching black plates from Graph Tech before I installed these on my guitar. To me, this is a very minor gripe and doesn't affect how I feel about these tuners.

Installing the plates and tuners was an amazingly straightforward process. I used the existing tuner screws already on my guitar to put the plates on. Each tuner has a number on it indicating which string it's for. Something to keep in mind is that it's different from other locking tuners because each tuner has a different ratio.

The tuners themselves are fantastic and I can say they live up to all the praise they receive. I use 12-60 NYXLs and can confirm that I had no issues with putting the 60-gauge string through tuner number 6. The locking mechanisms felt great and there were no issues with the string staying snug in the tuner. It took me a few seconds to get used to the tuning ratio and it feels great. Each string takes significantly less turns compared to other locking tuners I've used.

Tuning stability improved for me with these tuners. My guitar also has a Floyd Rose 1500 series bridge, while I know locking tuners aren't needed on this type of bridge, I wanted to be able to change strings faster. I also noticed that when I was tuning this guitar at band practice that it didn't jump as much with other tuners.

If you're looking for an amazing set of locking tuners, I can't recommend these enough. The quality and tuning stability (along with faster string changes) are what set these apart from other locking tuners. I can't see myself going back to other brands after using these.

Nice tuners! Good price!
My Sweetwater representative was able to research reviews and recommend these tuners so I tried them out. They're very nice tuners. They have around 5 different hole configurations in their design for attachment without drilling, the design is pretty smart and the mounting is ingeniously compatible with most mounting configurations so I didn't even have to drill holes.

I'm def. going to purchase these tuners next time I need replacement tuners. I like them better than all my stock tuners.

Save your time and nerves
I was so put out with my guitar. I was attempting to set my Stratocaster after replacing most every thing. I just could not get it in tune let alone setting my intonation. I was ready to give up and take in in. I just could not get it in my mind that it may be my tuner's. Well I finely made up my mind to replace then. It was so easy they just dropped in after stretching the new strings and playing a little. It stayed in tune like nerve before then setting the intonation was a peace of cake. They are really nice looking too. Thank you Sweetwater for having them in stock and shipping them to me so fast during such a tough time in all our lives.
