Reviews

My Guild is back!
I had done a pitiful job of trying to adjust the original saddle on my Guild. Then thought, "hark - Sweetwater has everything" - and I found the TusQ! It was pretty simple to measure the my Guild's bridge slot, place the order on Saturday, and BAM - there it was on Monday. I smoothed the rear/bottom edge of the TusQ, tapped it into place and VOILA - NEW GUITAR!! The improvement in fullness and depth of sound is amazing. I can strum and listen to the guitar vibrate for several seconds. The sound through my Marshall acoustic amp is also way, way, way better. Thanks Dave and team at Sweetwater. Keep'em coming!

Perfect fit
Got this to replace the saddle on my Taylor 814ce after it started buzzing a little. I tune my guitars a whole step down, plus my saddle had small indentations where the strings had dug into it over the last couple of years. The new Tusq saddle was a little taller than the factory one, but otherwise it was a perfect fit. I put the saddle in the bridge straight from the package and perfect. The guitar sounds better, absolutely no buzzing, the guitar sounds better through an amp, and the buzzing caused by the downtuning is gone. Awesome.
The most unbiased review!
I bought this saddle for my 1998 Taylor 814CE. Sound is subjective. What's better for one may be worse for another. On my Taylor, the Tusq saddle vs the saddle that came with the guitar definitely improved sustain, brightened the tone a little, and ever so slightly reduced the bass but made it better defined. For me it's a keeper! Depending on the guitar and the sound you're chasing, it may or may not be an improvement. For the price and a little sanding, it's definitely worth a try!

Perfect on J45
This saddle works perfectly on a Gibson J45. I don't know why it says Taylor style when it's more a Gibson style.
excellent
Ive used Graph Tech product for years and like it better than bone.
