Signature Misha Mansoor 6-string from Jackson

The Jackson Pro Series Signature Misha Mansoor Juggernaut HT6 is a hard-rocking, djent-ready axe at a great price. Designed in conjunction with Periphery’s Misha Mansoor, the Juggernaut HT6 features a lightweight, resonant basswood body that kicks out all the growl and grit you need for djent as well as other hard rock genres. A pair of Jackson MM1 humbuckers delivers all the hot humbucking growl and grime you expect and are controlled with master volume and tone controls, plus a 5-way blade switch. A push-pull (on/off) pot on the tone control adds further to this electric guitar’s sonic versatility. A 1-piece caramelized maple neck, with a 20"-radius caramelized maple fingerboard and 24 jumbo frets is fast, playable, and comfortable.

Juggernaut of both playability and distinction

Jackson has always been a leading guitar choice for Sweetwater’s hardest rockers. Djent and metal purists alike find the Pro Juggernaut HT6 to be one of the most playable machines available. The axe’s sleek, scalloped horns and wraparound heel allow unhindered access to all 24 frets. Graphite reinforcement of the bolt-on, single-piece, 25.5"-scale-length neck ensures ultimate stability.

Custom-voiced Jackson MM1 humbucking pickups

Misha Mansoor is totally committed to tone, so he put considerable effort into the custom-voiced Jackson MM1 humbuckers in his Pro Juggernaut HT6. These high-output pickups deliver a tight, uncluttered response. The 5-way pickup selector switch adds further to the sonic versatility of this eye-catching electric guitar.

A true Juggernaut of tone and playability developed and designed by a genre-defining pioneer

As an icon of progressive metal and pioneer of the djent movement, Misha Mansoor instinctively knows what the best tools of his trade are. From the headstock to the bridge, and all points in between, Misha worked tirelessly with Jackson’s R&D experts to design and deliver an axe you’d never think possible without going custom. Juggernaut by name; juggernaut by nature.

What is Demo Gear?

At Sweetwater, we're so picky that what we call a "demo" is actually better than what most music retailers sell as "new" gear! Our gear hasn't endured hundreds of people a week plunking away at all the keyboards, fumbling through Stairway to Heaven on every guitar or playing with every fader and knob on a mixer or control surface.

What demo means to us is that we've had it out of the box, or maybe it was in a customer's hands for a few days and isn't "factory fresh" as a result. Every demo item we sell has Sweetwater's 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty, and has been tested and verified up to "new" specs by our factory-authorized technicians to make sure it's in perfect working order before we ship it to you.

Note: While demo items from Jackson do not include the Fender Musical Instruments Corporation warranty, you can shop with confidence knowing that this item is backed and covered by Sweetwater’s 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty.

When you buy a Demo item at Sweetwater, you get:
  • 2-year Total Confidence Coverage Warranty™!
  • Products inspected and tested by our factory-authorized techs, guaranteed to function like new (or better)!
  • FREE shipping on most items

Incredible metal guitar

Absolutely awesome guitar for the price range. I've been an Ibanez guy my entire life but this guitar convinced me to take the jump to Jackson. The neck is the biggest selling point. Incredibly smooth, feels incredible in your hand, and looks great. Having played with the Wizard style from Ibanez my entire life I was able to get acclimated with how thin this neck was rather quickly. If you're not used to something this flat I would probably recommend looking elsewhere, as this is the most aggressive I've seen in the mid-range market.

The finish is beautiful in the sunlight and matches perfectly with the wood tone. Pickups are hot which take some getting used to, but still better than most factory default brands. Can't say enough about how comfortable it is to play.

Only slight knock I would give it is the quality control from Jackson themself. I had to unfortunately exchange the guitar due to bum fret and a poor stain job on the neck. The hardware is also kind of cheap (locking tuners and knobs specifically for me). But thankfully this is why I ordered from Sweetwater who offered to exchange the guitar immediately and make it right. The hardware issues are annoying, but this is a guitar I see becoming my main one and I will make upgrades along the way.

A solid bang for the buck!

Recently picked up a used Jackson HT7 and was impressed enough to order one of these HT6 models within the next 2 weeks. Honestly, for the price, I am very happy with this guitar. The locking tuners have been holding well, the bridge and saddles are comfortable and stable, and the nut has been satisfactory thus far. I've grown spoiled with aftermarket pickups so I knew I wouldn't be keeping the stocks in for long, so I can't say much about them. Overall the guitar is very comfortable to play, great upper fret access, not too heavily weighted, and the carmelized neck is gorgeous. I can see a couple of very minor imperfections with the paint/finishing, but nothing that affects playability nor are they visible without a very thorough inspection. I would absolutely consider this instrument deserving of its price, and Misha's name. I've had a few other instruments in this price range that needed a lot more TLC to get up to my standard than these models have.

Great guitar

This was my first guitar purchase from Sweetwater and it came set up very well. It was almost in tune when I took it out of the box! I just had to make some slight personal adjustments but overall a very good set up. I think in the description it says the guitar comes with 9-42 gauge strings, mine definitely had 11 or 12's on it, but no problem there.

My only worry when buying this guitar was the pickups since I didn't know what to expect. But they sound awesome whether distorted, clean or split coils. Incredible sustain too! The neck on this guitar feels incredible. It is thin but not super thin. The edges of the fretboard are rolled slightly making it very comfortable. The neck joint is carved out nicely making it easy to get to the upper frets. I love the 20" radius. This guitar stays in tune very well. Very comfortable to play and sounds great. The guitar came with strap locks installed on the guitar. I don't think it mentions that in the description but it is a very nice touch.

This is an overall great guitar and I am very happy with my purchase. My only areas of criticism aren't major and they apply to a lot of other brands. I have a Solar AB1.7 that also cost $900, same as this guitar. It is very similar in that it has a bolt on roasted maple neck, passive pickups, hardtail bridge, locking tuners etc. But my Solar guitar is a seven string, has a Graphtech nut, stainless steel frets and a Hipshot bridge. That's a lot of improvements for the same cost and it shows that this guitar could have similar upgrades or cost less. So I had to take a half star off.

Jackson’s Quality Control Severely Lacking

I don't normally write reviews, but my experience with this particular fruit at has been frustrating. I have ordered several of these from various retailers in search for just one that didn't have glaring quality control issues. The finishes on these are incredibly inconsistent, with rough spots and darker/lighter spots. They are always poorly boxed in such a way that the sharp headstock stabs through the cardboard on top of the box and leaves marks on the guitar. The nuts are sloppy, the holes drilled for the neck bolts are rough, and the list goes on. I've purchased $300 Squier guitars that come with fewer flaws.
