Levy's Handcrafted Comfort

From their beginnings in Nova Scotia in 1973, Levy's Leathers has grown to become one of the leading guitar strap makers in the world. With premium leather straps as well as models made of vinyl, fabric, faux fur, and polyester, Levy's has attracted an all-star roster of fans and endorsers. This 2 1/2" two-tone veg-tan/garment leather guitar strap has a cool-looking distressed appearance, displays a decorative vintage five-cent buffalo coin medallion, and is backed with comfortable suede leather. It's also adjustable for variable instrument positioning and is even available in an extra-long (XL) size that adds 12" to the overall length.

Vegetable-tan leather: only the best

Veg-tan, or carving leather, is the most expensive leather Levy's uses. The hide is soaked for seven days in successive baths of varying concentrations of tannic acid, which is derived from the bark of the live oak tree. The resulting leather is called veg-tan or carving leather, and its properties are such that it can be embossed or carved more readily because of the firmness of the leather. Sweetwater guitarists love the softness, quality, and design elements of Levy's leather guitar straps.

Levy's 2 1/2" 2-tone Leather Guitar Strap Features:

  • Wide, suede-backed, 2-tone leather strap has an appealing distressed appearance
  • Vintage 5-cent buffalo coin medallion adds a touch of extra style and vintage vibe
  • Strap adjusts from 41"-55" to fit nearly all player sizes and instrument position preferences
  • Available in an extra-long (XL) size that adds 12" to the overall length for big and tall players
  • Backed by over 40 years' experience making some of the best leather goods available

Reviews

LEVY'S GUITAR STRAP
I think the guitar strap that I purchase from Sweetwater is built to last. Great service and great products!!!!!!!
Like every other Levy's strap.
It looks okay (almost as good as the photo) and it's well constructed, but every time I try a Levy's strap I remember why I am not thrilled with them.
EVERY Levy's strap is abnormally short. Sure, they sell an extender, but it shouldn't be required.
Also, unless the strap has some kind of finished edge, the edges need burnishing so they aren't so rough on my neck.

From here on, I will try to remember to stick with Anthology Gear straps.
