The algorithms are so sophisticated they can even restore information that was lost during the original digital recording to ensure highly detailed playback of your favorite music, just as the artist intended. The PMA-900HNE is able to decode hi-resolution audio ALAC, FLAC, and WAV lossless files up to 24-bit/192kHz, as well as DSD 2.8MHz and 5.6MHz tracks (SACD), ensuring the highest fidelity playback. Meticulously designed and crafted, the digital audio converter suppresses jitter for maximum precision in D/A conversion.
Pure analog
Although it boasts the latest digital technologies, the PMA-900HNE will delight even the most discerning analog purists. The circuit patterns are designed with the shortest possible signal paths to deliver ultra-clean, highly transparent sound that’s faithful to the original recording. When listening to analog sources, you can enable Denon’s Pure Direct mode, which turns off the display and the digital outputs to eliminate interference that could color the audio signal. And for turntable devotees, the phono input handles esoteric moving coil as well as standard moving magnet cartridges. For setup flexibility, two sets of speaker outputs are provided that can be either used for bi-wiring or to hook up alternate stereo pairs of speakers.
