Good but not great, ultra low latency wireless guitar headphone amplifier
Overall a good quality product. Made well and very comfortable to wear. If simple, practice, dial a tone is what your after, this can do that and more.

During a head to head against Anker, the Spark Neo proved to have better sound quality with more depth. This proved to be the case when comparing both headsets using a Flex Prime FX processor and the Spark Neo app.

I was left with some minor disappointment from the Spark Neo's AI tonality. While it was very easy to find tones and very easy to practice, and play along with the spark app. The tonality from the app was somewhat flat in the mid and did not have the rich room filling sounds and tones offered from the Flex Prime FX processor or the Boss Waza Air headphone amp. This is related to their software, and the Neo's sound was better from the FlexPrime than the Positive Grid app.

I imagine future updates will improve on the A.I. and the tonality functions. To say its good and sounds good is more than fair, however the app AI lacks the depth that a real amp, or WAZA air provided. In comparison to say ChopTones' Rigs and IRs, or the HeadRush Cloud, the Spark Neo has good sound, but not great like that from ChopTones or Headrush.

Its a close 2nd, but noticeable. I was able to search endlessly and find some close matches, but in the end the tonality of similar rigs from Headrush and ChopTones was better sounding than those from the Positive Grid App.

Future software updates should improve on tonality. And the price point is much more attractive than its competitors.

The other things that are disappointing would be the battery life. Anker is 60hrs., where as the positive grid is less than 8. 8 is less than an average flight day from beginning to end, so big fail there. The Spark Neo will also drop its connection with the app if the impedance or gain exceeds its limit. Instead of cancelling it, the app crashes. You have to load everything again. Again software issue. I am hopeful that with some updates they will be able to improve the app crashing and the overall tone quality to be more natural sounding or have some room style sound options. A recent update did improve some of the issues and crashing.

The BEST thing about the Neo, it has a very easy to use practice music/video jam along feature. That feature is extremely nice, fun, simple, and better than the Guitareo learning options included with the Flex Prime. It makes jamming along to your favorite videos and tracks effortless. Quick and easy, learn to play along with live chord progression and more.
In comparison, the tone is BETTER with the Positive Grid headphones than Anker. I am hoping further software updates will improve the RIGS and tones to have improved depth and warmth, such as found the in Boss WAZA Air or HeadRush Flex Prime. I would give the Spark Neo a 5 out of 5 if the sound quality was equal to the Headrush or Boss Waza. Chop Tones and /HeadRush Cloud tones, sound fuller than those offered from the A.I. driven Positive Grid app.

The quick, plug, pair and play, was seamless and easy, once I figured out what button did what. No manual included. The ultra low latency is perfect with ZERO noticeable delay. ZERO.

The sound and comfort from the Spark Neo is superior to the Anker, but lacks the back up battery and ANC to compete for any long periods of playtime. The Spark Neo's appearance is excellent and high quality, nicer than that of more expensive headphones. Comfort also superior.

With the goal of cutting the guitar and amp cables, I am now free of those cables. I practice and play with either my Flex Prime FX processor or the AI lead Spark app. The price point compared to the Yamaha or Boss Waza is certainly advantageous. The jam along and learn fun factor is more than there, and that is better with the Spark Neo Positive Grid app than any others that I have tried. When I say it's easy and fun to use, that is an understatement.

I am looking forward to many days and nights of use, but I also welcome all of the future updates, and would even consider upgrading if the battery life was vastly improved upon. Good job to the guys at Positive Grid. The ultra low latency is excellent. Sound and build quality is excellent, but refinement to the tones to provide fuller, richer, broader tonality will be something we watch for.

Positive Grid NEO the perfect practice tool
Im a single dad and find it hard to find time to practice with 2 little ones. So I wait till they are sleeping. I can practice every night without interrupting their sleep and I get to spend that quality time with them while they are awake. I have to practice with click tracks so with the Bluetooth feature, I can easily play tracks through Chartbuilder and play right along. I have made 4 presets to my liking in whatever style to easily match whatever I have to play. The NEO has made practice so much easier for me. The quality of service from Sweetwater cannot be matched either. Every order I make I get a thank you call and its so nice to hear Brian's familiar voice and just talk for a moment. Great Product
I rarely review products but this one I had too. This is awesome. The headphones are very well constructed and it connects every time to the app and the wireless module. The app had some really great tones also and is very easy to use and adjust to your liking. If you've been thinking about buying this then do it. Best tool I have for practicing and so much less cumbersome than plugging headphones into my amp.

Better than anticipated.
For practice, it's a great product. Pairs with Apple music through my android perfectly. Amazing features! Had the WAWA product. They were pretty good. The Neos have better features at a better price. I will purchase another pair when these ware out!
