Dutiful, Approachable, Ibanez-built Dreadnought Tone

Tone, comfort, and navigability — Ibanez's PF50L takes every factor into consideration, making it a prime choice for beginning players and experienced acoustic gurus in search of a worthy, travel-friendly instrument. It all starts with a traditional spruce and meranti tonewood combo, supplying rich acoustic sonics with more than enough potency to reach a range of genres and play styles with ease. Furthermore, a selection of onboard Ibanez appointments paves the way for seamless handling and intonation support. It's all completed with an all-around open-pore polyurethane finish to keep playing comfortable and ensure a sightly and traditional look wherever you decide to jam.

Reputable tonewoods construction

The PF50L's spruce and meranti tonewood recipe factors in strength, tone, and comfort — ensuring you're equipped with an instrument that's both maneuverable and capable of producing a traditional acoustic sound. Around the back and sides, meranti supplies subtle warmth and a well-balanced tonal palette, which is further rounded out by the instrument's traditional spruce top. The result is a definitive acoustic sound that's perfect across a range of play styles and genres — making the PF50L an ideal option for emerging players and seasoned pros alike in search of a classic sonic platform.

Lined in elite Ibanez upholstery

When it comes to Ibanez's PF acoustic series, zero shortcuts are taken — and it's apparent in the PF50L's collection of sturdy Ibanez hardware. Up top, chrome die-cast tuning machines and additional hardware provide utmost intonation support for reliable tone on stage and in the studio. Additionally, the PF50L's white dot fingerboard inlays and 25.5-inch scale length make this acoustic an extremely navigable player — especially with the addition of a smooth meranti neck with a "PC" profile for slick movements from fret to fret. Take it from Sweetwater's 6-string experts: whether you're looking for a first instrument or a reliable roadside strummer, you can't go wrong with Ibanez's PF50L.

Ibanez PF50L Features:

  • 6-string left-handed acoustic guitar for mobile practice and emerging performers
  • Spruce top with meranti back and sides supply articulate and tasteful acoustic tone
  • Sturdy meranti neck with dovetail joint and ergonomic neck profile provides comfortable access to all 20 frets
  • Traditional dreadnought body construction

Reviews

Tone, playability at low low cost

This Ibanez PF50L OPN is an unbelievably beautiful acoustic that's priced at $. It's a full-bodied acoustic guitar, way more than just a road, beach, or park strummer. It's super well-made, feels really solid, and sounds incredibly bright and punchy in the mids. This awesome guitar has real open-pore wood with a super light satin finish. It's definitely not laminated; it's made with actual solid wood, mostly Meranti, with a spruce top. The fretboard and bridge are Meranti too. When you think about this guitar being under $ and having real wood, it makes you wonder why more expensive acoustic guitar companies use fake pressed wood for their fretboards and bridges.

Music background: Casual, Non-Pro Musician.
