A Classic Grand Auditorium with Plenty of Tonal Power

Recognizable charm and tone ensure the PCH1-GACE's status as a standout selection among Eastman Guitars' evolving acoustic-electric line. Branded with its classic tonewood pairing, a set of deluxe hardware appointments, and a built-in Eastman pickup system, the PCH1-GACE is more than a simple acoustic instrument — its Eastman Guitar's homage to traditional performance, complete with the tools required to conquer any modern stage, studio, or practice sessions. For example, its grand auditorium body shape and Venetian cutaway are ripe for the exploration of several playing styles, supplying tight control and reach over each fret for seamless navigation from heel to headstock. Regardless of skill level, the PCH1-GACE is a true winner among acoustic players here at Sweetwater.

Traditional material design

Built with a classic combination of Sitka spruce and sapele, the PCH1-GACE is full of classic acoustic character. Sapele, known for it's warmth and sustain, comprises the guitar's back and sides, which is balanced out by a Thermo-Cured Sitka spruce top. The result is a powerful but balanced sound that's representative of traditional guitar design. Sound is further projected by the instrument's scalloped X-bracing pattern and grand auditorium body style for suitable, comfortable play in any room. Altogether, the PCH1-GACE serves as not only an ample performance instrument, but a guaranteed hit among first-time players, emerging musicians, and more.

Plug in courtesy of the onboard Eastman pickup system

The PCH1-GACE is no stranger to the stage. Thanks to its onboard active Eastman pickup system, there's more than enough projective power to conquer any stage amp or recording session with an authentic reproduction of your sound. On the body, volume and tone controls provide simple authority over the pickup's character, further enabling you to dial in the perfect sonic structure for any playing scenario. Simply plug in and play! Bedroom practice sessions, street side mini-amp performances, you name it — with an onboard Eastman pickup system, it's possible.

Eastman Guitars: thinking inside the box

Many know the Eastman Music Company as a trusted name in the realm of band and orchestra instruments. Fortunately for all guitar lovers, Eastman Guitars has attained a similar stature with its steadfast dedication to the guitar-building process. Similar to how Sweetwater got its start, Eastman founder Qian Ni grew his business from its humble origins in the back of his car to its status as a burgeoning, reputable company. Today, Eastman is also the proud owner of Bourgeois Guitars — as a matter of fact, Eastman’s high-end guitars are voiced by hand by luthiers trained under the multitalented Dana Bourgeois. True to Ni’s vision, Eastman Guitars meticulously approaches each instrument, backing them with a lifetime warranty. From hand-scalloped bracing to fine tonewoods to precision tap tuning, an Eastman guitar is a feature-rich instrument that will grow with you musically for years to come!

Reviews

update to 5 stars

about 5 months in on this guitar and it has gotten a much more rich tone- guess the wood has dried out a bit..I have to say this guitar is easily comparable with Martin and Taylors in the $ range...well made, beautiful vintage look..I would stack it up against the Martin Road guitars..maybe not quite on par but pretty close..at less than 1/2 price..

Beautiful guitar with tremendous tone
My wife loves to hear me noodle away on this guitar. Says it makes here feel warm and happy. She never said that about my Takamine or Ovation. Sounds great but plays better. Right out of the box it was ready to go. Love this acoustic!
eastman cutaway acoustic

ok- this is a nice guitar...on par with any Martin or Taylor in the $ price range. Beautiful antique violin finish..1.75" width at the nut..solid feel..neck shape is fine. as for the sound..it is rich but slightly less full I assume due to the back and sides being laminate.

For a performing musician who plays thru amp and want to leave his more expensive guitars at home..or living room player ( like me) whoreally doesnt want a $ guitar sitting around that could fall or be affected by weather changes. This guitar is plenty durable for ave guy...you would need to move up to $ range to beat the sound..

Sweetwater has plenty of the Eastmans, give them a try..

Music background: long term intermediate player..have moments of brilliance in my living room !
