All Class, Zero Compromise
Bearing a time-trusted tonewood construction, supreme Eastman hardware, and a classic instrument design, the PCH1-D acoustic guitar represents an excellent guitar option for experienced musicians and beginners alike. Spruce and sapele provide traditional acoustic tone, while nickel hardware and high-accuracy tuning machines ensure superior support over intonation stability and structural support. To boot, the PCH1-D is among our most attractive line of acoustic guitars at Sweetwater, featuring a delicate Thermo-Cured top, abalone rosette, and pearl dot fingerboard inlays. Topped off with a player-preferred satin finish on the body and neck, the PCH1-D is just as navigable as it is beautiful to play.
Timeless tonewoods cocktail
The tried-and-true spruce and sapele tonewood construction gives the PCH1-D a classic acoustic voice, fully armed with increased projection and sustain, thanks to the guitar's dreadnaught body shape. The guitar's laminated sapele sides supply traditional acoustic warm and sustain, which is corralled and balanced out by a Thermo-Cured Sitka spruce top. The result is crisp projection across all frequencies, with plenty of power to fill any room with clean, supple tone. Topped off with hand-constructed scalloped spruce X-bracing, the PCH1-D serves as a wonderful sonic option for experienced players and emerging musicians alike.

High-performing Eastman hardware
Fitted with a true bone nut and saddle, the PCH1-D supplies ample string support with enhanced vibration authenticity. Up top, the guitar's closed-back nickel tuners and hardware ensure tight intonation, while a dual-acting truss rod supplies efficient adjustments for slight setup changes in between sets. Additional visual upgrades include an abalone soundhole rosette, top and back black plastic binding, pearl dot fretboard inlays, and a signature Eastman maple headstock logo.
Eastman Guitars: thinking inside the box
Many know the Eastman Music Company as a trusted name in the realm of band and orchestra instruments. Fortunately for all guitar lovers, Eastman Guitars has attained a similar stature with its steadfast dedication to the guitar-building process. Similar to how Sweetwater got its start, Eastman founder Qian Ni grew his business from its humble origins in the back of his car to its status as a burgeoning, reputable company. Today, Eastman is also the proud owner of Bourgeois Guitars — as a matter of fact, Eastman’s high-end guitars are voiced by hand by luthiers trained under the multitalented Dana Bourgeois. True to Ni’s vision, Eastman Guitars meticulously approaches each instrument, backing them with a lifetime warranty. From hand-scalloped bracing to fine tonewoods to precision tap tuning, an Eastman guitar is a feature-rich instrument that will grow with you musically for years to come!
