Reviews

Best strings for my J-45
These strings are the perfect size for my J-45 and they last longer than any other string that I have tried and I've pretty much tried them all. They do not rust or corrode in any way and they keep their tone quality for ever.
Music background: I’ve been playing acoustic guitar for over 30 years.
Outstanding strings
I've tried Martin SPs, John Pearce, Elixers, etc... and my experience has been quite different than from what some of the negative reviews below are saying. I actually really like these strings! Paradigm strings (phosphor bronze in medium-lights) have a rich full-bodied tone that's punchy but not overly bright IMHO. For reference, I have them installed on a Martin 000-28 and a Blueridge BR-160 dread.
Ernie Ball Paradigm Strings
I got in a deal where the company wanted people to test these before they put them out. I got these acoustic medium light gauge strings. Frankly, I think they are overall the best sounding strings I've tried on my Martin. Additionally, I don't really attend to cleaning strings like I should, and these still sound great after six months! I would recommend these to any acoustic (especially finger-picking) guitarist.
Sounds Great On A Cheap Guitar.
I've been waiting a little while to review these as the selling point is their longevity. I have a set of these on a Gretsch Jim Dandy (it's nice to have a guitar that you can throw in the back seat without a case and not cry over if it gets ripped-off). I've been using the EB Everlasts. I've also tried d'addario EXPs on this as well. The EXPs last longer than the Everlasts but the Everlasts sound better on this rather budget friendly piece of equipment. The verdict: they sound better than the EXPs and last longer than the the Everlasts. A new favorite.

So so
The service from Sweetwater was very good as usual.
The brand and set I wanted was out of stock at the time I needed strings so I ordered these. So, these were a second choice. Upon installation the sound seemed pretty even top to bottom. No problem there. As advertised these strings took a pounding through two gigs and didn't break. No problem there either. But they had no life in them by the end of gig number two. That surprised me since I believe they are supposed to be coated or treated. I won't use these again.

Hopefully, my strings of choice will be back in stock soon.
