Go on, Try to Break Them

Ernie Ball Paradigm electric guitar strings are amazingly resistant to rust and breakage — and whether you earn a living with your guitar or not, that's a big deal. These plasma-treated strings deliver classic Slinky tone along with advanced engineering that can withstand aggressive players. And even if you travel with your guitar often, or live in a salty-aired coastal region, Paradigm strings will stay rust-free for a very long time. Kenny Wayne Shepherd couldn't break 'em. John Petrucci couldn't break 'em. Guitarists at Sweetwater haven't been able to break Ernie Ball Paradigm guitar strings either, and we expect you'll eventually get bored trying.

Perfect for trem-arm users and abusers

Whether you rock a Bigsby, Floyd Rose, or any other trem system, you needn't fear pulling up when you've got Ernie Ball Paradigm strings. They're built to withstand every dive-bomb return and pinch-harmonic squeal you put them through. This is a Regular Slinky set with 0.010–0.046-gauge strings. Put them on your favorite guitar, then enjoy the fact that you won't need to replace them for a very long time.

Pro Tip: use an eco-friendly string cleaner to keep grime off these long-lasting strings!

Ernie Ball Paradigm Regular Slinky Guitar Strings Features:

  • Allows for extreme trem-arm abuse without breaking
  • Regular Slinky set, 0.010–0.046 gauges

Hi Quality

I thought I liked Cobalts, these are even better, fuller sounding and a bit stiffer but I actually prefer a little resistance. I don't know how these got 3 star reviews or complaints. I'd say those folks are hard to please.

The hype is real, y'all

I am always hesitant to believe the whole "unbreakable, longer lasting, wound by monks in ancient mountains" thing, but after giving these a try once I was convinced. Give them a try if you haven't.

Really Amazing and great sounding strings

I bought several sets of these for most of my 6 & 7str guitars; they feel great and sound great when you first put them on. Honestly I've had about a year of playing and 100 hours/month on average in the studio is not uncommon for me. But the longer I use them, and clean them with finger-ease often, they seem to start losing some intonation. octave harmonic is off a few cents.

One thing I'd like to say about some of the comments made here. Many were saying they were so bad, or they broke. Then they would go thru the truss bar settings, raising and lower bridge saddles, etc. I found, IMHO, that as soon as you start messing with the truss rod, and you don't know 100% what you're doing, that's a danger zone, and I would be careful. When you get a more cut-rate priced guitar, you always stand the risk of getting one that is a tiny bit warped in places, you have to adjust as best as you can, and save up for that real Majesty or Jem, right? the cut-rate ones are still mostly well done, but require fine-tuning on things. Best luck; I only use these strings anymore. Really grown to like what Ernie Ball has done over the decades, they were there early and Sterling's family has kept the quality exquisite.

My #1!

These strings are incredible sounding. They stay clean, sounding fresh, and can handle every bit of abuse I deliver mercilessly every single day... including all forms of tour abuse from the road (extreme weather/temp/climate changes, etc.).
I previously used GHS Boomers/D'Addario XLs (10-46) and still occasionally use S.I.T Universal balanced tension (10.5 - 48).
The only thing I've ever seen break or mess up one of these strings are worn down/neglected equipment and/or friction points (nut, saddles, tuners, etc. which get sharp during wear and will ruin anything that touches it) which is expected... the only other instance was a guitar that got ripped apart and thrown out into the audience- strings were removed from the guitar by force, but were perfectly intact still
