The Famous Otamatone — Now at Sweetwater
The Otamatone has livened up events, parties, and even concerts for years, and Sweetwater is pleased to now carry this world-famous musical toy. In terms of playability, the Otamatone is more akin to a violin or a guitar in that you play pitches by sliding your fingers up and down its “neck” or “stem.” You can add vibrato by shaking the stem, and you’ll get a wah-style effect by squeezing the Otamatone’s “face.” The Otamatone Deluxe model offers three pitch settings — Low, Medium, and High — and each setting has approximately four octaves, allowing you to play an endless array of songs. Finally, the Otamatone Deluxe’s 1/8-inch stereo jack lets you practice silently with headphones, but to really get the party started, use the stereo jack to connect to an amplifier or speaker and share all the fun and sonic silliness with your family and friends.
