RME OctaMic II Preamp and A/D Converter at a Glance:
  • Flexible and convenient I/O
  • Detect clipping easier than ever
  • SteadyClock for optimal converter quality
Flexible and convenient I/O

The RME OctaMic II has a large selection of inputs and outputs to handle any situation you may come up against. Eight phantom-powered XLR combo jacks let you plug in anything from condenser microphones to guitars to keyboards. Each channel gives you switches for phase, low cut, and phantom power. An improved input-circuit design allows you tons of headroom and a gain range up to 60dB. You have access to eight stereo TRS-balanced line outputs, dual optical outputs, and a single DB-25 output. The dual ADAT optical outs can be configured for S/MUX up to 96kHZ.

Detect clipping easier than ever

No more having to watch LED meters like a hawk to catch clipping! The RME OctaMic's Clip Hold mode detects clipping and causes the corresponding LED to flash continually. This makes it easy to see which of your channels is having constant overages.

SteadyClock or optimal converter quality

SteadyClock is a proprietary clock technology for maximum jitter suppression. SteadyClock guarantees superb sound quality completely independent from the quality of the current reference clock. The OctaMic II uses the latest generation of A/D converters capable of giving you up to 24-bit/192kHz sampling frequency at a S/N ratio of 110dB.

RME OctaMic II Preamp and A/D Converter Features:
  • Keeps your input signals intact and unchanged without jitter
  • Improved THD and SNR for cleaner audio
  • Easy peak monitoring with Clip Hold mode
  • Flexible I/O for all your studio needs
  • Lots of input headroom with an input range up to 21dBu
  • Switch-mode power supply operates in the range of 100V to 240V AC
Keep your signal clean and jitter free with the RME OctaMic II!
